Default Cooling down turbochargers?

I understand that 993TT needs a little cooling off time after running hard. How long should I let it idle after normal brisk street use with a few full throttle apps? Is pootling down my neighborhood streets for 60-120 seconds enough cooling time, or should I let it idle in the garage for a little? What about after a fast drive through the hills?
I've always been an NA guy, so don't know the drill.
Thanks,
Bill

I cool mine down for two minutes every time, whether driven aggressively or not. I think it's the safest way to go.

Stock turbochargers should not be cooled down at all, ever. That way you can upgrade sooner.

Try to get into the habit of 2 minutes.. 1 min minimum in all situations/conditions. Not only are we lowering the temp of the turbine housing, but as these cars age, the ceramic liners/heads benifit from the reduction of temps.

Bill.......listen to the Master (see above). I find that cooling my turbos in the driveway for a couple minutes gives me time to collect my things, dust off the dash, and allow the neighbors to hear my muffler bypass pipes.

I cool for 2 minutes as well...but I don't have mufflers....so I shut the garage door. Thankfully its a detached garage. Its when I leave at 6 am on the weekends for spirited drives that I think the neighbors mind the most...

Always let your turbos cool! This is a mistake that alot of people make and it is not worth it.
Well unless you need to tell your wife you NEED new turbos cause of all the smoke coming out of the back of your car.

Minimums posted on boards used to be 30 seconds, now it's gotten up to a minute - interesting.
