Default WTB 933TT BLUE

OK, getting some replies!
Thanks Guys.
After thinking about Black I am going to pass- just too much work keeping it clean.
I will consider any BLUE (going to pass on midnight blue) as a first choice. Arena Red or Dark Charcoal as a second choice.
Gray or black interior only.
The rest of my interests remain the same.
Low miles, FLAWLESS, etc
Prefer a 1997 Model but will consider a '96 if it is the "right" one.

Thanks for the referrals.

Thanks for the Links RobRoy.
They look like pretty nice TT's but I decided to pass on the color of Midnight Blue (too hard to keep clean and looking good). The Arena Red would have been interesting with Gray or Black interior.

Keep them coming!
I am sure that the one that I'm looking for is out there.
Hoping to find a pristine BLUE '97 with gray or black interior.......

I appreciate everyone's help

If you passed on midnight blue for that reason, you'd probably want to ignore Ocean Blue, too. Its just as bad (if not worse!).

I dunno if there were many riviera blue TTs in the states... that would be a beautiful color on a TT.

What kind of blue are you looking for? The Midnight Blue is the only blue that was a optional color on a TT other than a paint to match.

Because the BLUE colors are so rare (other than Midnight Blue) I have not seen them. I was told that OCEAN Blue was brighter than Midnight Blue...? I have seen IRIS Blue and it could work but it is somewhat purple in different light conditions.

I would certainly consider a factory "custom" Blue.

My hope is to find a BLUE that is lighter and brighter than Midnight Blue.
Not really looking for a Silver Blue, I want it to have some depth to the color.

And then to complicate my search I am not interested in an interior color other than Gray or Black.

Kinda picky, I know.
But I am looking for the "right" one and I hope to find it.

Thanks again for any suggestions....

Can anyone tell me if COBALT BLUE or ZENITH BLUE were offered on the TT for sure?
I found a color chart that says these colors were available for the 1997 993 coupes.
http://www.carsdirect.com/research/p...7/turbo/colors
I suspect that some of these charts may be inaccurate.
For example this chart does not show IRIS Blue.
Also this chart shows OCEAN Blue to be a light blue and not dark like Midnight Blue.

You should check Adrian Streather's 993 book (my copy is at home) for an answer. Even if not offered as a standard color, there may well be cars custom ordered with those.

There is a thread some where on the 993 NA forum that shows a Zenith Blue TT picture. I had a 993 C2 in this color and loved it. Also love the black TT I have now so maybe you should reconsider black.

I agree that BLACK is a fantastic color but it is labor intense to keep clean and looking good. I know I have had numerous black vehicles for the last 30 years!

I would love to find a ZENITH BLUE '97 TT !
This would be the "right" one if it can be found in the condition I hope for.

Here are some pics of my last BLUE vehicles-

1999 NSX with Comptech Supercharger Monte Carlo Blue SOLD 1 month ago. 18,000 miles and PERFECT!
2003 SLK 32 AMG Sapphire Blue SOLD 5 months ago. Also had Low miles and PERFECT!

There was no standard or optional color for the TTs at least in the states, with that color. So you are looking for a special color to match order from Porsche (an exclusive option) or you may find a complete repaint so be careful...

Cruzrmm,

Search for the thread about beautiful exterior colors in the 993 forum. It shows more colors than you could ever imagine. Also keep in mind that less than 2000 or thereabouts 993 TTs hit US shores. So you are chasing a very small market for the rare colors.
