Those turbos are awesome!!!

I have been in several cars that have them. The spool sooooo fast. The compressor size is ideal for the 3.6 ltr motor running 1 to 1.5 bar of boost. If they are installed properly with oil sent to the water side to keep them cool they have excellant life expectancy. I know of a car that has had them for 8 years and 56,000 miles without any issues.

Contact Tial for more details. These are the turbos I want once I get some more money saved for the upgrade.

I know that it requires a little fabrication to the sheet metal where the turbo oulets are. Oil lines need to be fabricated for the cooling side. Check with Tial for pricing.

If someone wants to run Garrett GT28's buy the Garretts and fab your own headers. Cheaper in the long run.

The water in fact is not required, it is better to have it of course, but its benefits are for when you shut down your turbos. It will just make them last longer. If wrenching the water tank and lines etc is complex, you might want to reconsider. This is not sound advice but one that gets you going practically.

I have seen them installed 2 ways. One way is to block off the water side completely. The other way is to feed oil to the water side for cooling. The oil side does require a restrictor in the line since the ball bearings don't like high pressure.

Blocking the water side will result in a shorter turbo life. When feed with proper oil for lubrication and cooling they have been known to last a very very long time.

OT how is the race gas file coming along? I have been blending 116 leaded with 91 unleaded fuel. My car is much happer with this blend of fuel. You will be amazed at the difference of a well tuned race gas program. With your turbos etc on race gas 1.2-1.3 bar should be no problem. (except to drive).

I have not had a chance to test the program with race fuel, the car is on a trailer to Bahrain (about 1000+ miles) for an event next week. I will test it straight on the track, it is the same program I had when the engine was built on the engine dyno, only with slightly better fueling and idle, so it is a hybrid of three different programs into one chip. Time will tell.

Thanks Khalid for the pic, and nice seeing you too. I left the car there for the installation and flew out again in the PM, will be back tuesday night. Thanks Kaza, your TT is gorgeous too. Yes it is an original RUF bumper modified to fit the width with the flares.
