Default My car got faster

Well finally finished the fine tuning for my TT the new ECU and other goodies have made the car wake up and it will break the tires loose in 1st,2nd & 3rd gear now on dry pavement when it comes up on boost. It gets real fun real fast when you get up around 3800 rpm.

Doug,

Your car could almost fly before the up-grade. I cannot believe how fast it is now. How do you keep your license?

Doug,

Since your local how about a little smackdown? Couple freeway pulls? Dead start pulls? You name the time, place and prefered method of testing. I would love to see how my car with stock internals stacks up against your fresh rebuild with cams and zero clearance K24's.

Tom

This thread is getting interesting, a duel between the two longest signatures on the TT board

Doug is on his second 993TT I believe??
You listed your turbos as K-24 zero clearance ??
I thought Kevin mostly did K-16 zero clearance??

Line them up, just for fun (and let each other drive the other car!)

Lets do it!!!

I will contact that guy with the AX-22 to see if he is still willing to loan it to me. Maybe we can get data from all of the cars.

Woodster, there are quite a few K24 hybrids running around.. Z/C Stage 5's, 6's.. Even Z/C K24/26's and K24/27's.. I'm doing a set of Z/C K26/27's right now..

If they have replaced the rod bolts and have camshafts, no problem.. I have always taken that point of view..

Ah, a responsible merchant/fabricator! Quite refreshing in this day in age where profits are the bottom line.

Good for you Kevin!!

Camshafts create additional safety????? Please expain that one.

If you don't increase RPMs you do not increase tensile load on the rod bolts. Not sure why you suggest that is needed if working within the confines of the factory designed tensile loads on the rod bolts.

We will not start this debate again!!! You have your POV and I have mine.
