Miles, I am using Denso plugs. I think each engine and its state of tune requires different ignition setups, there is not one that works everywhere. In my case, the Denso really woke the engine up after a certain limit was reached.

Your denso plugs have a very small electrode .4mm if I recall and do not require as much energy as other plugs (especially the factory 14FR6LDU plugs). I suspect that if you installed the factory plugs, your engine would drop in power and/or begin to misfire due to the increased demand on an ignition system that is not sufficient for its application.

Last week I received my heads back from getting twin plugged. Please remember that there is alot more work that needs to go into these heads so I am posting this as I go through the process. Many folks don't only see the before and after, and really don't see the time or the multiple steps in the process. As you can see in the pictures there are sharp edges around the new plug in the chamber. I will spend time rounding the blending these sharp edges to match the factory recess. Please note the exhaust seat pitting that has occured.
This following picture shows the factory plug hole
The top five fins have had enough material removed to provide access for a spark plug socket.
The heads have not been surfaced yet. I won't surface and cut the sealing ring groove till all of the other machine work is done. This is done to avoid any knicks or scratches. They are off getting new guides and seats installed with larger lightweight valves.
A small detail, out of 12 exhaust studs, I broke 4 flush with the surface of the exhaust port. 3 studs were extracted with welding a washer and nut.. The fourth one needed to be drilled out and required a time cert.. Harsh winters do aid in corrosion. Plan for at least 1 to 4 studs that break off requiring more money spent in removing them..
