Not that it helps much....
When i was at Ruf in late '04 he still had a 993 based CTR 2 for sale.... NEW!! The problem for you guys is that it was RHD. Alois told me it was built for a custmer based in Asia but the deal fell through after the car was already RHD.
He only wanted 150k Euro ( IIRC) then.... approx $400K AU.... so thats why it was still there 4 years after being built.....
Wonder what happened to that car.....???
The car in question!

I can not tell you how badly i wanted that car when i was there
..... the parking lot was full of CTR, BTR, 959 and the new RGT (which i got to drive incidentally.......
)
All i wanted to do was sell the cars i had (930 and 600HP Skyline GTR) and then the back part of the house we lived in
and i was in......
SERIOUSLY cool place.....I have plenty of photos if youre interested PM me.

LA964RS, I assume you have seen the CTR2 and CTR2-Sport for sale at the RUF centre in Dallas TX.
I think the current owner of the 1998 1/2 CTR2 is asking about $210,000 but Wayne at the RUF Centre would be more then willing to give you the details on both cars.

One thing I have noticed in the 3 "Yellowbirds" that i have seen is that only the first promotional car, the true Yellowbird, had the intakes above the rear wheel wells.
This car was already sold in Sept 05 and in for restoration before new owner delivery.

Same with this car sold and in for restoration. New owner wanted a VW color "Tornado Red". Both RUF VIN.

CTR "Yellowbird" engine.

Great pics ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The "true" Yellowbird as you call it is the Prototype one which did all the publised stuff. The idea was to hang the intercoolers in the air flow of the NACA ducts. It didn't work very well.
The production cars like the one I had, had the I/Cs integrated either side seemingly in the chassis rails. The idea was that air was drawn from under the rear wheel arches to flow through the I/Cs.
This layout, whilst in concept is similar to the 996tt is NOT the same. The 996tt has the pressure areas all worked out and IS efficient.
Anyway, the CTR I/Cs must have worked to some extent since it would crack 210mph.

I know of two BTRs for sale.... - no 3. One has been for sale forever at Sloan. I think one of the Beddors owned it originally. IT is a RUF VIN, I think. As is high 60s.
Another higher mileage on is in Oklahoma, I think, and you'd have to google to find that one.
Finally, Par has one but it needs work, according to them. Ask is something like 39k, but I think they already have a deposit on it.
The Sloan car looks nice. But it hasn't sold for a LONG time, so I guess either it is overpriced or there is some issue....

Hey Boost Crazy thanks for the CTR2 picture, hopefully mine will look this good(except the last foot or so) when I get the same wheels fitted! Definately the silver looks better with these rathar than the 3 piece ones on Woodsters picture
