Final report on my Andial 3.8 upgrade. The ECU swap did not fix the problem, so I had to make the trip down to Andial. They consulted the codes, thrown chicken bones and a Rorschach blot to conclude I had a bad MAF sensor. I was skeptical, but went with the experts and was rewarded with a perfect track day yesterday. Unbelievable power, especially in 4th and 5th, 20mph more on the big straights!

That happens when the coil winds up during it's normal operation and then suddenly releases. Washers on the PSS9s prevent that by allowing the coil to rotate without binding. Newer Ruf suspensions use the washers.
