Hi Guys,
I was wondering if you are set on RUF or if you would be interested in a group buy for our 2 kits?? We have a single cooler and double cooler kit that I would be willing to do a group buy for if you guys are interested!!
Let me know and I will put somthing together!

Evan, I'm not familiar with your 2 kits. Can you give us more information and details of how you would price a group buy

Allright, since i started this thread I'll try to keep us organized:

Here's our commitment list for a group buy so far:

darrendeguire
Brad '95 C4
Air Kuul TT
Boost Crazy
Tom Larkins
Acropora
TTAmerica RoadsterAWD

Anyone else want to add their name to the list?

Anyone on the list spoken to Weissach in Canada? I don't know them so if some would like to volunteer to communicate with them regarding that would be great. One of the messages mentioned Andrew as the Parts Manager there. I believe the last group buy was with them.

I have spoken to RUF Dallas and they say they only have one available (as of this past Tuesday). Going through them may take some time. I remember the previous group buy on the RUF cooler took a bit of time as well. I personally would like to have one in the next few weeks so I can get it installed for my next event at Sebring in late June.

I think we can all agree that RUF/Cargraphic has been well rec'd by most if not all on this board, so going with their unit shouldn't be an issue. It will probably be more of an availibility issue.

How does everyone feel about FVD's cooler? I asked Evan in a previous message to give us more specifics on their cooler(s). I went to the web site and found several there at different costs. We'll see what he comes back with.

Any other thoughts?

Hi,
No problem!!
The single is the factory Turbo S cooler, while the twin cooler was developed by our head tech here in the US and works so good we decided to distribute it!! Member Mike W. on here was the first to have this kit installed and could not be happier!! I assume you guys know the specs on the Turbo S cooler, so here are the specs of the twin cooler:
-Twin 16 Row 12" coolers (12x2x4 are the dimentions of the actual cooling element)
-.33L volume per cooler
-Stainless lines w/true swivel aluminum anodized fittings
-All mounts and brakets
-1 Large sheet of mesh screening for bumper openings (Silver or Black) (NOT PRECUT)
-(Very) Detailed Installation Instructions (18 PAGES!!)
A few photos of the kit on Mike W.'s Car:

Let me know if you guys have interest, and if enough do I will put together some pricing!! It will be very competitive!!
Regards,
Evan
PS- I have 1 single cooler kit in stock here, 1 single cooler kit in stock in Germany and have 4 Twins that can ship within 1 week and more than 4 twins would ship 2 weeks.

I'd suggest someone call Ruf-Dallas or Weissach regarding pricing before this GB goes much further. I heard that Ruf Germany raised the price of the units halfway through the last group buy so there may not be the same pricing flexibility now.

http://p-car.com/diy/oilcooler2/
notes "should have almost the same amount of cooling than the Cargraphic kit has (same capacity but little less effective cooling due to the fact that other auxilary cooler’s warmed air goes to the original cooler)"

Updated List as of 5/27:

darrendeguire
Brad '95 C4
Air Kuul TT
Boost Crazy
Tom Larkins
Acropora
TTAmerica RoadsterAW
Eric 993TT
wunderkap

Any changes or updates to the list?

I have spoken with Hans at RUF Dallas. He will be getting back to us with pricing and availability on Monday or Tuesday. FVD is also due back soon with pricing on both the Turbo S version and their twin cooler version. At some point we will need to make a decision regarding which way everyone wants to go. Obviously if we can all agree on one particular unit the better our volume and pricing will be. Personally, from what I have read and learned here, I lean toward the RUF unit but I'm certainly open to everyone's thoughts. Pricing and availability may end up being the deciding factor.
