what are current suggestions on radar detectors?
I do more back road driving than city driving.
The temptation in a modded twin turbo is overwhelming
to go 120-140 every time I get into the car (alone).
v-1, escort, etc.??

 

Valentine is the way to go. A lot swear by it.

 

Marty - IMHO, unless you truly want a hidden/stealth installation, the V-1 is the way to go. It has prevented legal walletectomies many a time.

With the number of times mine has saved me, it probably offsets what I have spent of mods !!!!

If you do a search in the 993 forum, there was a post a year+ back about some cool above mirror mounting that improved on the suction cups. I still want to do this for my TT.

have a beltronics intergrated seems about 12 or 13 hundred it is amazing has defuser that can be turned off the thing picks up a mile away, Ihear the alarm slow to 65 look for the chp at least 1 min later here he comes from the oppiosite direction direction . this has happened many times ......... has front and rear scanner and is mounted under me cd storage unit has saved my wallet many times. ps radar does not work from the side they have to hit from front or rear .. pm me for mre info steve
