RADAR DETECTOR??

V-1 "one", Minn Highway Patrol "zero"
The Valentine works like a charm!
I must say the arrows are a lifesaver because although I got pulled over
(for rolling a stop sign ), the patrol was absolutely beside
himself because he could not get me on radar. Stupidly I quickly lowered
my gaurd after my side arrow went off because I could not see anyone.
I rolled a county road stop sign (no traffic), and took off "quickly" and
then my rear arrow went off and shortly thereafter a patrol was driving
wildly to catch up to me. He eventually pulled me over and told me to
turn off the "old noisy" (headers and RSR mufflers). I also know he did
not like my license plates "IT RIPS". Result no speeding ticket and one
very noticably perterbed and defeated MHP.

Have V1's in all 3 cars, one upgraded 3 times. Tried some of the rest, they are the best. On top of that Mike Valentine is a Porsche driver and an admitted skulker on many forums. For obvious reasons, he doesn't join in.

All together now: V1!
Two quick stories: I drove a friend's Passport-equipped GT3 two weeks ago and came upon a radar trap that I had passed a few minutes prior. I knew where the cop was but, when the detector started beeping, I looked at it expecting the arrows to verify the known location. Nothing but useless LED's telling me what the signal strength was.
Story two: a few months ago I was hustling the Sequoia on some back roads at a, uh, fairly decent clip when my V1 started barking at me, the arrows indicating a cop parked behind some trees about 125 yards from me, showering my car with instant on K-band. I thought I was a goner at that short distance, but as soon as the detector went off, I hit the brakes with my left foot. (When I'm cruising, my left foot hovers just over the binders to avoid throttle-to-brake lag and to help balance the truck on turns.) I guess I must have beaten the radar and caused too much of a speed differential with his signal, for he did not go after me. Maybe another radar would have saved me just as well, but I like to think the V1 gave me and edge on radar source.
