Well, I did it!! I now own a 1996 993TT...
I am going to miss my 1996 cabriolet, but it is in the very good hands of a friend who I know will take great care of it (probably even better than me, and I'm ****).
Anyway, I am going to try and post pics of the car, but I am a picture novice, so any hints on how to post the nice big pictures that people post would be great.
It is a Guards Red/ Black 1996 993TT with 13,225 miles on it. Always garaged, never driven in rain. Paint is perfect, interior is perfect. Mods are:
Techart exhaust
Brey-Krause front strut brace
19" RUF wheels
ROW M030 Springs
Turbo S front air ducts
Turbo S front spoiler lip (bolted on to original front bumper)
sport seats
Carbon Fiber/Aluminum shifter and e-brake handle
996 Turbo full leather three spoke steering wheel
Porsche car cover
Porsche bra
Speed Lingerie bra
Built in K40 with warning lights integrated into gauges
Built in Battery tender
Sony Mobile ES in dash head unit
DynAudio speakers, ADS amps, JL Audio 10" sub
Under side skirts and bottom of rear bumper painted to match car
It also came with all the original parts, including the wheels and the exhaust, except for the original seats.
I love it!! I will post pics as soon as I figure it out.

Robert,
Congratulations... sounds like a fabulous car. The sport seats may be OEM, which would explain why you don't have the others? On posting pictures... I'm no expert, but I try and use .jpgs that are about 100k bytes. In the "post Reply" (not the Post Quck Reply), there is a button to "manage attachments". Just browse to your .jpgs, upload them, and you should be in business.
Good luck with your car.

Thanks Steve. Regarding the seats, he bought them from a guy in Hawaii and he sold his originals to someone else. They are Porsche Sports seats with power tilr, front and rear and heated. Pretty cool.
As far as the pics go, I used the Mihov image resizer, but these pics posted are pretty small. How do people post a pic that is 2-3 times larger than these? DO you post it somewhere else and then post the link on Rennlist or what?

After those pictures you shown us, I doubt very much you'll think about that convertible ever again...

Robert,
Very, very, very nice. Too bad that Guards red is so hard to photgraph well... that color looks so much better in person! You do realize that you have the turbo S front ducts and the turbo S front spoiler? The car is great. One suggestion... if you ever repaint the front bumper, get rid of those bumperettes for a cleaner, more Euro look to the car. Great car. Gadzooks, I'd like to have those sport seats. Sigh. Oh well....

Rassel,
I know , I know.... It's just that when you put five years into taking care of a car and personalizing it with mods you want, it just becomes a part of you. I bought that cab with only 10,000 miles on it and loved every minute of owning it. Of course I was partial, but I thought it was the best looking cab I ever saw, with the best color combo for a cab, lowered, HRE wheels, etc... Having said that, I was just ready for my dream car and now I have it. I still love the old cab.
The good news is a good friend bought it and he only lives five miles away. Maybe he'll take me for a top down ride if I start having withdrawals!! If need be, there's a few beers in it for him!
Mike, are you listening?

Steve,
You're right. I forgot about those mods. DUH!!!
I will edit the first post to reflect them as well. Thanks for the heads up. I am still getting used to the car, so it is hard to remember everything.
Thanks for the nice comments. Regarding the front bumper, I will leave it as is for now. My cab had the euro TT bumper with all white lights and no bumperettes (sigh). I wish I had that bumper, but this one is all original paint, so I'll live with it for now. It's still damn pretty!!

Robert,
Great looking car!!!
Thanks for selling me your 993 Cab. I'm really enjoying it, and took my 16 year old son on a ride out to Leiper's Fork and down the Natchez Trace 2 days ago. He really likes it.
Here's a picture of your "old" car in my driveway, as well as another picture of it with my 2 other toys: my '65 Corvette Coupe I bought from Alan Jackson, as well as my 26k mile '91 NSX. It's good to have another Porsche in my garage after selling both my '95 993 Coupe and my '87 Turbo Look Cab last year.
I'll take great care of the car, but to remind you once more - you owe me a ride in your new toy.
Mike

Mike,
You will have your ride as soon as this damn rain stops!!! Great looking set of cars there. Gretchen II is in great company. I'll call you later about getting all these parts to you.

Tony,
Yes, that was the car in PA. I got in a huge hurry trying to beat the weather and totally forgot to call you. I remembered about half way through VA that I was supposed to call you! Sorry, I really, really wanted to see your cars and your garage. Maybe next time!
Wes, thanks, you have a pretty quick car yourself!

Robert,
I have first dibs on the Turbo when you decide to sell it. As you know by now, I like red cars (my NSX is red, my 993 is I bought from you red, my Miata is red, and my GTO Convertible I'm restoring for my wife is red). The car you bought is stunning...
You may be the only person in Nashville who's "almost" as **** as me about their cars.
