Wow, that car is stunning! I looked and looked for a guards red 993T but never did find one. I'm very happy with the midnight blue, but red has a special place in my heart. It was the colour of the first Porsche I owned, a 944 Turbo S.

I just got plain lucky finding this red one at the exact time I decided to make the move. I guess it was CARMA!! (hehehe)
I first looked at OG's midnight blue car, and trust me, I love that color. My 740iL sport is MB. But I started thinking about losing my red car, and I just couldn't do it. So I started looking and found this one.
I also considered Arctic Silver and Black, but just made my mind up I had to have Guards Red again. All of those colors are awesome and they all look good on a 993, but I got what I wanted. After all, all three of my 911's have been Guards Red. Hey, at least I'm consistent!!

As I posted on the other thread, your car is breathtaking in that color, Robert. Well done. I had gotten over my yearning for Ruf wheels, but after seeing pics of your car I'm back to square one trying to overcome my addiction.
Post pics of the sub install when you can.

John,
The sub is actually in the trunk. My cab had two 8" JL Audio's installed in the rear footwell via Rod Birch's custom 911 enclosures. But this car just has one 10" JL Audio installed in a removable enclosure in the trunk with a quick disconnect. I'll post pics of it tomorrow, but it is really nothing special to look at, just damn nice to hear!

Hope I didn't make a mistake!
Robert,
I must congratulate you!!! You have purchased a perfect car...only one small
problem, I want it back
I want to wish you the best of luck and I hope you enjoy the car as much as I did!
Zymol brand wax: Carbon is the wax and HD cleanse is the pre-wax/cleaner.
In a pinch for a quick wax, I used Ardex which I picked up from a local
detailer...it is a thick liquid.

Pete,
Thank you for letting me have your "baby"!! It is truly a fine, fine car and I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. I know you will be happy with your GT2 when you find the right one, and you will know when you do.
I am glad I told you to come check out the comments people were making about how nice the car is that I purchased from you. It truly is a testament to the fine care you took of her. You ought to use this board, even if it is over on the 996/GT2 boards, to find your dream car and fine tune it. If it weren't for this board, I would not have seen Old Guy's (Paul's) car that got my whole search started.
Anyway, thanks again for everything and good luck in California with the GT2.
Call me when you get back and let me know if you got it.

I'm lost. Do you mean tire size or offset?
Tire sizes are 285/30/19 in the rear, 245/35/19 in the front.
I am not sure about the offset. I'll check RUF's website and see if I can find them.

Bob,
The car looks great! Perhaps you will drive it more than the previous owner and really learn to enjoy it. When you decide on more power and have to add additonal oil cooling capacity and have to take the front bumper cover off you will have the bumperetts removed. No one really cares about original paint on the bumper cover. Just have your body man use the original German paint ($$) and apply it so it has a little orange peel in it.
Although I don't admire the europeans much, their politics, military, and eu are a joke, the germans know thier cars and style. As you know from that beautiful cab that you owned the clean euro front bumper look is nice.
Congrats

Robert...Nice!
New to the board thought I would never see the wheels. Love the red. Have you thought about painting the seats Red? Nice.
Good mod is the bumber. Pict for you...

The tires on the RUF wheels are Bridgestone S-03's. He had S-02's installled on the 18" Hollow spokes. I will try and find out what the offset is as well as the rim width tomorrow.
