From what I have heard, it is the rod bolts. The crank is very strong. Unless you detonate or you have high mileage, I don't think your pistons and rings are at real risk. Head studs and fasteners are not the best either.

So it sounds like a lot of things break around the same power range (550hp?). Without getting into the whole turbo discussion, are stock K16s/K24s pretty much out of their efficiency range at above 1 bar? How much air do they flow at 1bar?

As far as running more boost than 14.7 lbs of boost(1atmosphere) We ran 17 pounds of boost in a daily driven(40 miles a day) 993. Stricly boltons, stock motor, cams, and intake. We upgraded turbo's one more time to make 620 whp with race gas(~18psi) and some good old fashion tuning, but after driving that for about a month everyday, it started to lift the heads. So before that became a problem, we evolved to our current setup. And we now have the fastest street driven 993 in the country.

Any "public" pics or links you could share with us? Any videotaped acceleration numbers? Thanks

We are one big happy family here and we share information to benefit each other. Could be that your dyno is out of calibration because the numbers you mentioned above just don't go together: Stock cams <=> 750fwhp and 1.2Bar <=> 750 fwhp with stock heads and I/C.

I swear I read them! As TB mentioned I just extrapolated your 620 Rear wheel hp to 750 Flywheel hp assuming it is a 4WD, because your previous post said RWHP. Sorry about the I/C when you said stock this and stock that, I assumed it was stock too, not that it would make a difference.
Seriously though, please share some more about the fastest 993 in the US, Devek said they have it, Prototech also, and some others on another turbo board, I am really puzzled

Well, there we go.. 17l-18bs of boost and he lifted his heads... Stockboost, there isn't much that you can do to a 993TT engine that hasn't been done before in the hardware department... You can sit on a camshaft grinder and sit at a bench porting and polishing your heads and turn around and say hush, hush... The quote " And we now have the fastest street driven 993 in the country." As Jean was kindly saying, puzzled? Old fashion tuning? So you have regeared your car with what ratio's? Please humor us all and snag a in car video of a 60-130 run so that we can time it... Please realize that some of us have spent more money in hardware than the purchase price of our cars... And some of us, play with these car for a living...
