Did you try a crack at the "world's fastest 4th gear only 100-200kph run" your car I'm sure would hit the 200kph (124.4mph) with your ~7200rpm limiter - at the very least you could claim "World's second fastest"

BTW you can change the mph scale to start at zero by editing the axis.
Yes, it's funny how I can't beat 9.1 seconds. I used the same road, and the weather was even warmer than last time. I'm getting an occasional cylinder 3 misfire that I need to check. That may be slowing the car down since I can feel it near 6800 RPM. I've had this misfire for over a year.

BTW, 7200 RPM in 4th is about 120 MPH for me. I don't think I can hit 124.4.

Default 60 to 130 mph on my 996TT@.9 bars

here is my 60 to 130 mph.. granted its a 996tt...
the car was run at the lowest boost possible due to the cold weather in Chicago... .9 bars.... pump gas... more to come...
Graphs are compliments of KPG.

and the 100 to 200 Km ...

Nice run Markski. Am sure it has lots more in it. Thinking of a run here, thought when it was in the teens I could run 1.2 bar on 114. Why not turn the boost and and really cram the cylinders!

well Im rear wheel drive now and Im not hooking in 3rd... too cold...
37 degrees..
Im actually breaking loose in the above runs too... u can see it in the Gs...
Also Im running on MPSCs... they need alot of warming up...
I think I will be more successful with 100 to 300 Km in this weather...

Thumbs up Markski's King Kong:

To recap then:

Markski's run on bald Michelins: and set at .8 bar with creep to .9 bar

100-200 kph (62-124mph) == 5.4 seconds
60-130 mph == 6.4 seconds

and you are losing traction on low boost at high speeds ?

I weep for anyone that "thinks" they are competion when you get
some traction and run full boost on some 100+ octane

Mark, are you stock transmission and gearing?

Congratulations !!

MK

Marty,
the 6.44 sec run was already on new tires... I just got them....
Im still loosing traction at .8bars... simply too cold.
YEs Im stock as far as tranny and gears...

Impressive Mark! So at 0.9 Bar you have the same performance as mine at close to 1.2 bar and less weight!

I would expect you to shave another second at 1.2-1.3 Bar, more than that and you will have no traction I think.. I would go do a drive on sime twisties before the run to put some heat in the tires, MPSCs have given me serious scares in 60-130mph runs.
Congrats.

Edit: BTW I think you just beat TB's world record of 100-200kph in one gear by 0.5s He still owns the 993TT category though!

Jean, I dont liek the MPSCs either but that's all I have at the moment....
I really want to do the 100 to 300 Km at .9 bars and see what happens...
basically I have the boost controller off and the springs are .8 bars but I get .9 during the cold weather...
thanks for coaching me thru the process... it was an awesome experience... and you have made it that much more worth while... thank you,
markski

Awesome numbers

Before I relinquish my "world's fastest" title (bloody hell that didn't last long ) can we confirm that the 100-200 was done in 1 gear only and which gear that was

It was done with the Porformance box (driftbox) and KPG confirmed it... Jean I think saw the data too...
