Default break-in interrupted by knee surgery, report will wait a while longer

Quite a few of you have PM'd me asking about my promised write-up and pics for the recent mods to my car, in particular a pair of K16 turbos that received Kevin's "super special GT1 hot sauce treatment," LWF/GT2 clutch(vBob), PSS9's(vBob), GT aux oil cooler(Gert), and hi-flo cats (TTP), among other things. My ECU has already been tuned by Gunther and it's pretty well optimized for the mods. Unfortunately, my ability to break-in all of the above, pound on the throttle, and play with the LWF have been rudely interrupted by knee surgery (the 5th on my right knee), so I'm under pretty serious restrictions for another couple of weeks, during which time I'm going to head south and enjoy some umbrella drinks and bikinis on the beach in Hilton Head. I'll post my report as soon as I'm "up to speed" sometime in August.

Peace

John - I can have it all broken in by the time you're ready to drive.

Really though, with a little practice (in a disposable car) you can drive a stick using your right ankle just for the throttle and dance on the left two pedals with yer left foot. Get better soon.

John,

Sorry about the knee. I hope it heals up quickly. You must be going nuts to get back in that car. We await better reports!

John,

That is a drag. If it helps, you can send your car out to me and I will break it in for you. I will even let you select the race track and I will be sure to get pictures....

Good luck on the recovery and hopefully you can get back in the saddle soon....

John;

It will be worth the wait.. Tell the doc that you have the perfect exercise equipment for physical therapy...

The wait is definitely brutal, but don't cry for me ... I've got a biiiig bottle of Vicodin in my left hand, the remote control in my right, and my wife hovering around playing nurse.

John,

Just tell me what's the break-in protocol, and I'll gladly take care of it for you. S'what friends are for, ya know...

Good luck with your recovery. Will we see you on the August 14th run?

Thanks for the generous and selfless offer, Mark, it restores my faith in the goodness of human nature

I'm shooting to make the gathering on Aug. 14, but I'm not too optimistic as my knee is still as big as a cantaloupe. At the same time, it would be useful (not just fun) to go because I may need some savvy input on dialing in the PSS9's. That plop sound you just heard was another Vicodin going down the hatch, ahhhh.
