Based on recent sale prices and offerings over the last 45 days it seems that it is more of a seller's market at the moment.
'98 C2S 103k miles $75k CCC Dealer
'97 C4S 33k Miles $140k GEARS ATL dealer
'98 C2S 74k miles Vesuvio $100k
'98 C2S 33k miles front wreck unverifiable damage $86k
'96 C4S 50k miles BAT $117k
'97 C2S 8k miles allegedly $135k PH1
'97 C2S 234 miles plastic wrapped allegedly $200k Private party in MASS
I'm sure I missed some but aside from the 140k stupidity the trend seems to be more on the upside of pricing. @Jay777 might have more accurate info on this. If I ever decide to sell, know that nobody is going to convince me to sell any of my Pcars at 'wholesale market' value so except for the ludicrous outliers like the $140k, $98k sunshine and $200k uni, the rest are pretty much at the seller's price and for the buyer to pay... Or not... Just MHO.

Speaking of trends, here are the sale price trends for the various models. Each line represents a best-straight line fit to trailing 18 month sales. There's no new information beyond what I've previously posted but it's interesting to see them all together. I wouldn't put too much faith in the CAB and TIP curves due to the low number of data points for those models. For the same reason, be careful extrapolating at the upper and lower ends of the mileage. Two interesting takeaways:
1) The mileage penalty for widebodies is about twice that of narowbodies
2) The price difference between widebodies and narrowbodies decreases with increasing mileage

My last post answers your question Doug.

To keep the data base relevant and useful, I've been excluding heavily modded cars, race cars, damaged/repaired cars, salvage title cars, etc, basically clean, no-story cars. I also exclude any I don't have a high confidence in the sale price. I have quite a few of those but can't include them because the buyer (or seller) didn't respond to a request for price. Unfortunately a dealer's statement is suspect, so without additional backup i won't include that one.

Jay, on No. 1 it had been here on RL posted for $68K for months and sold for $66k to the dealer. Dealer is now asking $75K as car is for sale here in MIami. Original RL link is below: Car presents better in photos IMHO

I do wonder what you (and others) consider "heavily modded"?
Are we talking cosmetic mods (eg: adding a wing? split rear grill? changing wheels from original?) or are you only including major mods (eg: TPC supercharger, converting engine to Turbo from NA/ manual from tip?)

@Jay777 - First of all, thank you to you and the other Rennlisters for collecting all this data.

Things like split grill, ROW suspension, radio, bumperette delete, seat belt/caliper color changes, resprays, etc, get included. I'm trying to avoid skewing the results with "white elephants", staying with the cars most of us would be interested in. Still, it's a bit of a judgement call.
