*WARNING* re. d-werx.com aka porschedials Porsche gauge dials
I paid for a set of dials in June and have sent six emails to them to determine status of the order, with no response. I will, of course, reverse the cc charges, but want to warn others of a possible outcome similar to that I have experienced. Others may have had more favorable results, but from my experience ...

Beware do not send any money to him.

All the customer wants is a bit of communication and they would not get so irate.
It's a pity when someone let themselves down by no communication.
horrible communication, a complete blackout with no response.

i got back but nothing. Have sent a chaser email but not heard anything.
he lives 30 minutes away from where I work. tried to reach him.
I had to engage a lawyer to get my money.
YOU ALL HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!
nothing. Won't even return emails. Not a good way to do business.
I made payment with Ed Ang ... nothing. Not one email response from him. Going to open Paypal claim.
for Ed I agree, the lack of communication back is a ****ing joke.
Ed should have been forthcoming. I just want open coms.
I have escalated my case to a claim and awaiting a resolution.
just being told what we want to hear , he sent me this email ... Things just don't add up �
Still waiting for the tracking # and refund �

There are things that I have to overcome that are causing the problems so I am in the process of reorganizing my business.

Oddly, I did a search for porschedials yesterday and that website came up. I thought it was odd. I assumed there may have been a name change. Glad I didn't order anything.

I have a friend who does custom gauge dials for the Miata who I've been trying to convince to break into the Porsche market to do this. He has a stellar customer service record and really good products.

I am also looking for a custom Tach face, was goin to order from D-Werk...
Looks like they have nice stuff, but if you can't get what you ordered...

I called these guys at the beginning of last year when I was thinking about getting a custom tach face, http://www.nhspeedometer.com They were very responsive and answered my questions right away. Never ended-up following through with the modification, but they were recommended to me and local.
Problem is they only have limited gauge faces available and recommended FVD for some other options on the custom gauge faces.

Also as a side note, I have talked to both NHS and PA-Speedo about fading pointers.
Both told me that there are none available new from VDO anymore.
Both told me that the later 993 pointers can not be re-painted.
Does anybody have a source for re-conditioning these pointers?

PorscheDials/D-Werks is an absolute SCAM. I had the same experience...answered emails immediately to take my money, and then wouldn't respond for months. I ended up filing a PayPal claim...which they never responded to, so I received my money back.
I highly recommend http://www.heiler-tachodesign.de/. They have pre-made color gauges, and can create custom ones as well. Here's the one they made for my car:
