Cute, Rick. I'm just posting my experience & opinion. I did not buy my mufflers from Joe, I bought them from Todd at Evo who has taken care of my needs over the years. I also own a 510 hp 930 and I try to always buy the best parts available.

Randy M - let me know if your Mille's are too loud for you. If so, I'll take them off your hands

AlgaeHater...did you ever get a ride with someone who has Robin's RSR's so you could hear them?

My Mille Miglia comes with the tip welded to the muffler. The RSR and Fabspeed Maxflow were too tame for my taste. Thus, after searching for the right sound, I end up with Mille Miglia.

Guys,

Mark "shockm" ordered a set of RSR muffler just like everyone else, provided me with his information, installed the muffler and sent me an e-mail saying that he didn't like the sounding character of the muffler and told me that he shipped the muffler back to me. That's all.

Although he is the first person who didn't like the character of the sound, I accept his opinion. I view this as different folks with different strokes, Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Overall I have about a 1% dissatisfaction result from muffler being too quiet, and 0.3% from muffler being too loud. And now one for nasty sounding.

LOL!

Fabspeed Maxflows on my car for the past three years and still like them very much. Great sound (deep) and very acceptable driving resonance (2800-3000rpm). I tried B&B's prior to the Fabspeeds and returned them within a week- resonance around 2800-3000 was unaccpetable. Fabspeeds are just loud enough - more than factory and less than supercups.

I was at a track event where 4 993's all had different exhausts: Fabspeed, Mille Miglia, RSRs, Factory - all sounded great, but all sounded different as well. Fabspeed, to me at least, sounded the deepest.

No affiliation, blah blah blah, but just a satisfied customer with this product

I vote for Fabspeed also. I love them. People are always stopping me and asking about them. I can't imagine the car without them!

WOW! That took some thought. Try to be a little more original.

The Fabspeeds I had on my 993 were very nice looking for sure. The tips are like works of art. I had resonance from about 2500-3000 RPM - despite being told by the manufacturer that these mufflers have no resonance. It did not bother me much - although that RPM range is right about where I would normally cruise. I think the Mille Miglias I have seen and heard are a higher quality muffler - although they are pretty pricey. WHat I like about them is you hear the engine - not the exhaust.

I've also installed Maxflows with some discoloration at the track (used stainless kitchen appliance cleaner to remove it after the mufflers cooled overnight) as for resonance I've adjusted to driving everywhere at higher rpm's and enjoying the soundtrack. Never noticed packing material or any other substance coming out.

I like my Maxflo's. They sound great, look good, and seem well made. The resonance doesn't bother me at all, it's just a louder exhaust note between 2500-2800 rpm. It helps remind me to shift down if I get lazy and let the revs drop below 3K. If anyone out west wants to hear them and the resonance, you are welcome to take a ride with me during the next BAR drive.

No, I am not one of Joe's sock puppets. I didn't buy them, they were already on my car. I never met the guy, and based on what I have read, I don't want to. I think his website claims are a load of BS. I like absolutely nothing about the whole Fabspeed thing, except the actual product.

I had Maxflows on my prior 993, and as stated many times before, I ordered Robin's RSRs and sent them back because I felt they were too quiet. Robin is a class act all the way, but the RSRs were just too quiet for me. I really loved the sound of the Maxflows - deep and very sporty.
Bottom line, if at all possible, you need to hear the options first on someone else's car before you buy.

I have the TechArt mufflers on my 993. They have a very nice sound-similar to RSR's. When I picked up my car and started it for the first time, I didn't know it had the TechArts. The sound I heard when I started it reminded me of the exhaust note of my '73 911E. I really love the sound of the TechArts thru the entire rev range -I don't have any noticeable resonance anywhere in the range. There are others with TechArts that report some resonance.

I LOVE the TechArt oval tips. They protrude from the rear cutout more than stock but I personally like this look a lot. From reading past polls, I think most people don't like the way the Tech Art tips look. But I sure do.

Robin's RSR's sure seem to be fairly priced.
