In answer to your and other's questions about options with Waldemar's seats, he sent me this answer when I asked about a fully manual "RS-like" seat but possibly with heating ...

"The price for the 993 RS style seats is 5500, - € plus shippingcost (200, - $)
The seats without electricity are absolutely rare and therefore extremely expensive on the market.
A seat heating for the seats without electric is not provided, there was also never.
You can take 4 ways. Then I can install seat heating plus 450, - per seat. Furthermore, 6 ways is possible, per seat 500, - €. Very much work but it is possible."

So, I'm interpreting his answer as meaning a fully manual seat is an option, but not with heat. The price seems to be the same with or without power.

Again, for me, the manual seat would be my preference since it should be a significant weight savings as well as simplified mechanism. Seems like OEM electric seats would always be at risk of binding / jamming and rattling if you moved them a lot. At least that's my experience. I also know that my fully-electric (3 switches on mine -> 6-way?) weighed around 55 lbs whereas my Cobra Misanos only weight about 24 lbs. They have carbon-fiber backs though which I don't believe he makes these seats since original hard-backs were not. That would also be a nice option.

What's the weight difference between manual and power? Does 6 way add weight compared to 4 way? If so, how much? Also, any idea how the weight of a standard 993 seat compares to Waldemar's hardbacks assuming the same power options?

For those who have had these seats for a while, how are they holding up? Any issues, concerns, regrets, etc?

Mine is the set on the right (cashmere with painted backs to match exterior).

They went in very easy. No problems with Waldemar's craftsmanship, although some of the hardware from the donor seat was slightly more worn than I would have liked from age. I believe some of that can still be purchased new from Porsche which I'll look into sometime.

The power to drain his wallet on the slippery slope. It comes standard on all 993s actually
