...and they're holding up well Jim after 12K a** miles!
Great, helpful info in this thread. I got my order in today. Excited to get some more comfortable and better looking seats! I’ll be sure to post some pics in 12-16 weeks... 😎
i purchased a pair of the hardback seats from Waldemar a few years back and to my knowledge all of the switches and levers are OEM, as are the backs. The leather pattern was perfect. The cashmere leather was a bit soft, but I’m sure you can customize this. Waldemar is located right near the Porsche factory. The craftsmanship is outstanding.
Sorry for the confusion, I wasn't referring to Waldemar's seats in my answer. I was answering 2000m2's question about the difference between 996/997 seats and those from a 993. He had asked if there was an significant difference between those. I've never seen seats from Waldemar in person so cannot comment on them. 🙂

I asked Waldemar directly myself and he told me that the back frames are regular seat frames that he modifies to accept the hard backs. He reproduces the hard back panels...they are not OEM.
Too bad no pics of backs or description of what power options they have?? But for someone with a black interior those look damn nice.
Hey Tim, scroll down further and there are pics (or seller added them after you looked). They have power height adjustment but no heat. Regardless, you're right, they look very nice!
Some people who have bought these disagree. A quick search shows posts #271, #272 and #278, for example.
I'm sure they look great right out of the box, but the real test here is time. Will they look as good in 5 years? 10 years?
One thing I can say about my OEM hardbacks, is they're still in great shape after well over 20 years. Will these aftermarket seats stand the test of time? That's the big unknown.
Also, what's the warranty on these Waldemar seats?
I love Aventurine green/grey combo! That car looks awesome. Are those seats original or recreations?
I have a car that I would love a set of GP white painted HB's for. The seats in the car are in good condition so it's hard to justify as a something that's needed, just wanted.

No surprise, but the virus has slowed things down all around. Apparently Waldemar’s plant was/is under quarantine.
I was concerned the Virus and strangeness of the Pandemic hurt him, his company or family. I gave him a &2k deposit in February and have reached out the past few weeks with no response.
I hope everyone enjoyed a well and the virus has paused many things. I’m hopeful I’ll hear back soon.
i do have a quote from him I can post later. The seats I ordered are old school - Black 993 HB SS with Pepita inset. See picture ... I’m having the interior completely customized to an 70’s interior.
What started as a venture in the direction of the slippery slope is now a full on free fall way down the hill. It’s a disease ... I’m not looking for a cure.
