Default Saturday drive

Been a while since I took out my 993 for a good canyon run. Started in Escondido and took Hwy 78 into Ramona and through Julian. Gorgeous day and traffic was light. Managed to pick up pie for tonight (Julian is known for it). This was my first hard run with hollow spoke rims and I really noticed un sprung weight savings. Car performed flawlessly and can't wait to get suspension done. Few pics from last night.

Snowing in Michigan, can't wait to get it out. Gotta love the twists. Looking good!

The sound of the Fisters "cracklin & burbling" as i took 20 mph hairpins at 5k+ RPM was intoxicating. Wish I had a decent sound system for drive home as I couldn't get Rushs' "red barchetta" out of my head.

Our local PCA club took a long country drive in the beautiful nearly spring weather on Saturday to a great BBQ spot for lunch.

It's the first long, spirited drive I've taken in the car since I became the new caretaker back in late November. The more miles I log, the more I love it. The sounds, the handling, the "feel" - wow, what a great car!

I think I'm truly beginning to understand why the 993 is so special...

Car will be getting M030 sway bars, M030 ROW springs and either new Bilstein H8's or Koni FSD.
Wheels are NB factory technology wheels.
Pie is long gone
