I waged war on the thick fog along the Big Sur coastline. Then took a victory lap around Carmel by the Sea while everyone was still asleep.

Ahhh, Big Sur! So beautiful!
...But not much to see in all that fog. Do the extra lights cut through the fog or just reflect back at you?

Not all today but I finished installing Recaro Pole Position NGs in leather using Planted mounts and Recaro sliders. It was a fairly easy job. I also swapped out my old RS door panels from Appbiz with new leather panels from Appbiz. While I seats were out I also installed new seat belts.

50/50, there's definitely some bounce back of light but overall they help.

Installed Element fire extinguisher. It is tiny, but allegedly lasts longer than a standard one.

nice! How do you like the leather panels compared to the Vinyl? Trying to decide.

Currently trying to remove left rear bumperette which is seized on. Right barely came off. What is the end game here? I think I managed to spray some wd-40 where the bolt screws in. Will try again tomorrow.

They aren't much different, slightly flatter color and different texture. I did want something closer to the Recaro's material plus the original panels had speaker perforations which I do not need.

Starter problems. Had a fellow lister send a bendix solenoid, unfortunately no go. The earlier does not fit.
Ordered the correct one. Removed the starter last night. Rebuilt and installed today.

Wow does a scissor lift make that dreadful task easy! A few tricks to removing and replacing the solenoid, no pictures but the starter comes apart, remove a rubber plug for more movement. Easy rebuild.

I have considered picking up one or two of these for the car and house.

What did you use to mount it? Can I also ask where you purchased them? Directly online from Element?

I simply used the plastic mount included and a couple of interior finishing screws. I mounted it to the plastic “hatch” on the center console. The extinguisher is so light that nothing else was needed. I’ve been driving around with it for about a week and it doesn’t move, yet is very easy to remove if needed.
It fits in the glove box. I elected not to keep it there as that is my only interior storage with the RS door cards.
Yes, I ordered directly from the website.
