Installed these new vacuum units on the varioram after work today. No issues going back in, just make sure to loosen the varioram a bit so you can push it up away from the fan to gain clearance. Next well be my ecu flashed by Steve w. Can't wait and thanks again Mr. Weiner. It will be here Friday.

Installed a Stable Energies fire extinguisher bracket I got from a friend. I didn't take the seat out to do it - just tilted it back. It may have been easier with the seat out of the car, but it was a pretty straightforward installation regardless. Better safe than sorry!
Removed the Fister II's and went back to the Fister I's. In combination with the Fabspeed sport cats the Fister II's sounded AWESOME, but were tilting 98+ db at full throttle at the track. Need to keep it under 95 db, so back to the Fister I's. Next project, new shifter ...
Upon receipt of the two new ESCO jackstands I ordered ($45.95 ea). I will put the car on stands to refinish the calipers in VHT speed yellow, new black porsche decals, and VHT clear on top.
While in the air, I might order a golden rod from FDM, and install that rascal as well.
Would really like one of these trick twin plug, single distributor, units...(day dreaming)
I spent 2 hours reading all 20 pages of posts. Then I went and sat in my car (which I drive daily) and remembered just how it felt the first time I got in and started her up. Then I started to make my list of changes. My 98 C2S has 116,000 and is in need of some new stuff. And so I start to slide down the slope:
1. new LED lights in front
2. door strap fix (got the dreaded clicking)
3. Clear euro lights
4. Bumperette deletes
5. Inserts for air ducts
6. replace frunk struts
7. fix the sagging insulation in engine bay
8. replace the Mobile 1 sticker
9. replace suspension to lower to ROW height
10. keep creating list so I can start buying parts
Thanks for all the great ideas. Time to get finding the parts.
Buy the way, has anyone ever compiled a listing of all these great parts for a sticky thread?

The single distributor from Patrick Motorsports is an interesting piece. I would be interested to hear from others that are using it.

Foxman, how do you enjoy working on the 4 post lift for things like muffler change outs? Do the ramps or anything get in the way?

Good luck with the Check Strap. Just had mine done. Maybe overkill but....after a few weeks of figuring out a game plan we ordered a new Porsche A Arm from Germany and cut the center out where the check strap is and the same on the car then welded in and reinforced it about 10x stronger than OEM. It will never happen again on my car! What a PITA of a job!!!! Door has to come off, Fender etc...

It's so much easier doing exhaust work, detailing and clutch slave bleeds with the four post. Swapping the Fisters last night and adjusting the sport cats was a pleasure. The beer helped. I've never had an issue removing and installing mufflers on a wide body and the ramps are adjustable, but we did have to move a narrow body closer to the ramp edge once to get the muffler free. Easy adjustment.
I use the lift for storage as well, so a scissor lift wasn't an option. Next up is a pair of rolling bridge jacks. I really like my Jackpoint jack stands, but bleeding brakes a half dozen times a season has me yearning for a good quick wheels off lift.
Gbos1 - I can see why you had to do what you did. I got a quote from a Porsche shop to go in through the foot well and weld the inside of the jam so you would not be able to tell it was done. I am nervous about doing it by my mechanic, very very very reputable, said they are really good at what they do. But that is down the list. The first thing I am doing is the HID headlights.

Okay so...that is how they did the first "repair" and it failed over time as you can see from my pic. There is a TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF WEIGHT on the check strap. **** poor German Engineering Design. Just awful! If you have this done it will fail again. To fix it properly my method is the best case scenario. It's costly but bulletproof. With this being said...It looks like 'NEW" now.
