Toaster, as I understand it, that is basically what the tool is for, diagnosing and clearing fault codes. I just got the enthusiast version today, so I am just learning. Maybe someone else on the board can help you out.
Been busy over the last month slowly picking away at my long To-Do list.
Started off by replacing the cigarette lighter since my socket had no power going to it (made phone charging a little annoying). This was probably the most annoying thing to replace given the tight space and the need to remove the radio. Reading the threads on here made it very doable though.
Billy Boat Exhaust was promptly taken out and replaced with Fister III I purchased from a RLer. Love the look of the wide oval tips and the Fister IIIs have a much more aggressive sound than the BB exhaust WITHOUT the drone.
Replaced door handle seals and side view mirror seals on both sides (HUGE pain in the *** to do). Also put black Lloyd mats in the car which should hide dirt way better than the Cashmere stock set.
Installed new airbox filter and both cabin air filters. Looks like they were long over due!
This is me just being picky but both of these warning stickers were pealing and sticky whenever you would touch them so ordered and installed new stickers. (Yes, even my wife made fun of me for this one)
New sticker waiting to be attached.
No use for a Gong relay when there a freshly installed Immoblock in its place!
And last but not least, finally installed the CarreraS logo on the deck lid. Looks much better IMO!
Still have a long list of things I want to do like suspension refresh, Cup II wheels (Painted Steel Grey in proper Vesuvio fashion) and PPF application but it's been fun getting to work on it and feeling more comfortable wrenching on the car. It's funny how much more approachable this car seems to wrench on as opposed to my GT3.

What I did to my car today (yesterday, actually) was I called the local Indy that has had my car for six weeks and asked when my car might be ready. They said the lead mechanic was out on lunch and would get back to me but he never did.
[redacted]
I dropped my car off 6 weeks ago with a known transmission leak from a PPI. The shop took a couple weeks to take a look, they told me it would be 1-2 weeks so no worries. They diagnosed the issue and a couple other things like a torn axle boot, and some “small leaks.” They said it is their policy to do an engine out job when working on 993 transmissions ($$). I said okay. I also picked up the fister short shift kit and goldenrod for them to install. They started working on my car 4 weeks ago. They estimated it would be two weeks. Two weeks ago they said it would be one more week. Last week they said it would be a few days. Yesterday, I got no answer. I only call them when it’s been a few days past their timeline. I am itching to get my car back, it’s true. I had it for less than two weeks before taking it in.
.
Danger, Have you actually gone to the shop? I'd suggest that you just go over there to see what's been done to the car, rather than waiting for call-backs. I wonder if they're in over their heads with your car & don't want to admit it, so they're stalling. We're in JAX & there are some good air cooled indy shops here, if you need to pull it from there. I expect that ATL is closer & also has great indy options. Good luck & keep us posted.

Has anyone else found that the magnet on the Rennline phone mount is a bit weak- and yes, I have the metal plate attached to
the outside of my i-phone case?
I think the magnet is powerful enough, but the metal plate that
comes with the mount does not take advantage of the magnet.
I wonder if a swap-out of the plate would do the trick?

Nice job! I agree, it is so cool to be able to work on these cars and put your special touch on them. Keep it going and keep us posted. That is one special 993.

I have not seen it since before they started their work. I think stopping in is a great idea and plan to drop by tomorrow. They had a 912 and 964 in for work when I dropped it off so I felt good about their expertise. Thanks for the well wishes. Will post an update when I have more (hopefully good) news.
That's awesome....Can you tell us what you did...where you got the stuff....its cost...and something about the install. Thanks so much. (Sorry if I missed the explanation elsewhere.)
