MY02s, and also the 3-spoke steering wheel is another great upgrade from the 996

I have a set from a 986 in 7.5 and 9. Excellent shape. Will also work in a 993.

While those might fit a 993, MY02 of those widths are much better suited for a 986 Boxster or perhaps a 964 or 968.

Don't forget to credit the source of your information - after all, it is all of their hard work.

Guys,

Just linking to this post as I also ran into a clearance issue on the right rear brake caliper with my factory MY02... So remember to test fit first! Added 3mm spacers on the rear to resolve:

^^^^^ those aren't MY02's on that nice blue 993.

Notice how the spokes are thicker and also aren't as pinched as they meet the rim. I forgot the name, but I think those are called Carrera IIs. Still nice wheels, and similar, but not MY02's.

I didn't put them on the car, but IIRC they are Carrera III wheels. The ones with the thinner spokes, I believe, are Carrera II wheels. Not sure exactly what years they were from, but both options were from the 996 generation.

Edit: and thanks for the nice words =)

I'm very happy with these wheels. Easy to clean, look great and are lighter than most.

ALSO - I have an extra front wheel for sale in the classifieds. Please reach out if you've bent one up to the point of replacement.
