16 year-old me would have been both mortified and thrilled at the same time if I had to take my driving test in a brand new 911.

Great video!

that is great. Both my boys would have taken their driving exams in my 993 if I would have let them.

I didn't learn to drive in my fathers Porsche, but amazingly, he let me drive his 356B Cab, right after I got my license. About two months later I had a minor crash driving up a narrow mountain road, when I lost it in the gravel that had fallen from the cliff above due to swerving to avoid a grey VW rabbit coming down the mountain. When I got to my friends house, he said "Holy Crap dude, do you prefer pine or oak?" I had no clue what he was talking about, and it must have shown on my face, because he quickly folled it up with "For your coffin, of course." Later that afternoon when I picked my father up from work, he apparently didn't notice the scrapes when he got in, and after five minutes of driving, I couldn't stand the silence any longer, so I told him that as I was driving up the mountain to visit a friend, there was a little grey rabbit in the middle of the road, and that I had swerved to avoid it and lost it in the gravel and brushed the cliff face. He said "lets talk about it when we get home", and didn't say anything the rest of the way, which made for a very long drive. After he got out and looked at the damage, he looked straight at me and said, "Why didn't you run the F_ _ _ing thing over?" That was 35 years ago, and even though Alzheimer's is starting to take over, this is something that he still remembers and we still laugh about it to this day. My son probably won't be quite as lucky.
