Default distracted driver=a bad day

sitting at the stop light waiting to turn right and BAM! Lady behind me got "distracted" by her grandchild in the back seat and by the time she saw I was stopped it was too late. Fortunately no one was hurt other than my ear got really banged up (not quite sure how that happened). She is insured so that is a relief. Oh well, life happens. They will get looking at it this week and see what the damages are. Keeping my fingers crossed it will all go smoothly.

Sorry this happened. What a pain. The rear quarter panel is what I'm worried about for you.

More and more people aren't paying attention these days. People trying to multi task in the car with kids, cell phones, makeup, getting dressed, eating, etc... I see one or two fender benders every day on my commute to work.

ouch. Sucks, but not a huge deal. as long as you're alright and whatnot.

the quarter panel will be fine.

good luck getting it repaired.

I've had those bad days. Really stinks. I just finished reading a thread about what lies underneath the seen damage that is critical to assess and correct. Glad you are OK and good luck getting everything worked out in short order.

Ugh - that is a pretty focused impact - hope you are ok. Does not look like a hard enough hit to cause frame damage, hopefully the frame member across the rear if the car was not badly impacted.

On the good side, new bumper and lights, maybe the deck. The rear looks nice and clean with the bumperetts eliminate!

Cheers

Mike

Your ear (left side??) probably hit the seat belt area on the middle pillar area.
