Default 17 " Wheel photos

Does anyone have any photographs of 17 inch wheels mounted on an 993, excluding cup 2 wheels, turbo twist hollow spoke and or solid as well as 996 twin turbo wheels.

Thanks for the photos of the wheels they look really sharp. I'm looking to get a set of 17 inch rims myself.

Would you say the handling of the 17s given equal quality tires is as good or better then 18 inch rims given that we will save the 18 inch rims have greater rotational weight due to the wheel and tire.

Everyone has their opinions on wheels but I have a suspicion that most of the people that would prefer the look of 17 inch wheels are over the age of 60.

The only place handling it may be better with the eightteens is the corners at the limit where you have any Side wall that makes it seem like you're driving on the rims only

Yes; all else being equal 17's are more compliant than 18's. The Fikses are popular because they are lightweight, forged (not cast) and are typically a bit wider than the OEM 17's.

I prefer 18" on the track, and 17" for daily driving.

you can see the side wall on the top and bottom of the tire. I like the look although I know I'm probably in the minority So what we'll do you have and what are the widths of the rims

I'm having a similar problem, trouble deciding to stay with my 17" Cups or upgrade to 18's. I have sets of MY02's and 993 Hollow Spokes in the garage and I'm not sure which way to go.

And there's always a nice set of other 18's for sale on RL too.

They both would look great and light weight too. I say you keep both and just rotate.

I will hold on to the cup II:s, looks better every time I look at them!

Cup II is the real deal!

I had some widebody 17" Fikses that I used to use on the 4S, but damned if I can find a photo.

A friend now has them, if you're interested. 8 + 10, and I used to run cast off Hoosiers in 245 + 275.

>60
17s for winter
18s for the other eight months
Your age-preference suspicion is derived from what, exactly?
