I do have hey widebody and I Think I have about be the spacer issue to death in other Friends. As I recall it some say yes and some say no.

Since you have narrow body I am presuming you are running no spacers. If that is the case can you tell me approximately how much Thursday tire fit towards the day centerline of the car using they fender of them as a reference point in Another words like tire sits beyond fender tire service 5 mm inward towards center of the car

I prefer the look of 17 inch wheels on 993. to. Right now I have no tires mounted to rims I do you have a set of cup two wheels that are waiting to be restored to original condition. I bought these wheels because they are would've shown on my window sticker and build sheet and should I ever want to sell the car it's really better to have everything match as far as originality goes
I I would like to get a set of the sports classics but Not sure how they will look on our widebody without running rather sick spacers..

I think whatever device you are using to post is adding some 'predictive' text.

The underpinnings, suspension points, hubs etc etc of the NB vs the WB are all exactly the same - the only difference is the shape of rear fenders.

Here is the summer tire TSB, which shows the below:
http://www.pcarworkshop.com/images/0...1997_64047.pdf

You may choose to run a 9J ET55 wheel with no spacer on a WB car, but it would look ridiculous.

This is why Porsche supplied the WB cars with either
a) an 18" 10J wheel with an offset of 40 (and a 285/30/18 tire), or
b) an 18" 10J wheel with an offset of 65 and a spacer of 25mm, or
c) a 17" 9J wheel with an offset of 55 (and a 255/40/17 tire) and a spacer of 25mm (winter) or 31mm depending on what clearance was required, as per the Porsche TSB above and the Porsche TSB I linked to earlier.

If specifically for winter, it might have come with an 8J or 8.5J wheel with a 225/45/17 tire and any number of sized spacers to allow for snow chains.

You'll never know.... but for certain it didn't arrive with a 225/40/17 tire, and if you don't fit spacers with any 9J ET55 wheel the car will look like a clown's car.
