oil ,

How often do we change oil and what weight ?

Every year and every 5,000 miles.

20W50.

Maybe 15W50.

Or 5W-40 or 10W-60. Whatever makes you happy. I change mine once every 2 years, it comes to about 5-6K miles of driving.

8qts M1 15w-50 and 2qts M1 Racing 0w-50... That is where my personal pocketbook and sliderule seem to balance.

Having just done this... Dont forget about the 14 rolls of paper towels and box of nitril gloves you will need...

Amen to that. Just did mine last week. Not a drop spilled until I removed the oil line to get to the filter and then.... "there she blows", oil everywhere. Dang, I was doing so well!

Mobile 1 15W 50 once a year (about 4K miles)

I lost my virginity and did my first oil change last week....only ended up using half the roll of the blue towel....record breaking 4 hours for a newbie....used Mobil 1 15-50w....I daily drive and change every 4 to 5k miles...
