How do you modify when your tail goes up and down

I just followed bomans instructions in that link. Thank you for posting this. Id rather manual control. That's the Boeing in me I suppose.

Other than high speed stability, the spoiler up also helps cooling right? Is there any downside to not raising the spoiler unless you are on a long freeway run? I have been dealing with spoiler gearbox issues.

I think Euro 993's tails go up and down at different speeds than USA ones. I could be wrong though.
That being said, I did send my module to RUF to have the modification done. It was about $300ish, but that might have been dependent on the exchange rate at the time...and they sent me a nice RUF t-shirt to boot...and to thank me for the somewhat lengthy wait to get my module back. It goes up at about 80mph now, when you need it, and saves wear and tear on the spoiler mechanism.

Hmmm, been absent from here for a bit and never heard of this 2-wire mod. nice!
BTW, for well over a decade I have simply "pushed up" on the switch at start of my commute, and then "pushed down" on the switch as I approach work to lower: in other words spoiler goes up/down exactly once, minimizing wear/tear. Anyone still do this or have many of you gone "full manual" and just keep the spoiler down? I'm wondering if always down hampers cooling?

The first mod I did was the manual up/down for the rear spoiler as the assembly makes a little noise when activated. I haven't noticed any temp difference when driving , even in heat and traffic. I prefer it down looks-wise personally.

Performed the task this morning and after a 200mile ride I am loving every bit of this...didn't notice any difference other then slightly less wind noise with the spoiler up at highway speeds?!

I did the 2 wire mod, but if anyone else has a ruf module they'd like to sell, I'd put that on my car. Thanks JB

My main reason for the mod was that where I drive the spoiler will go up and down 10 times in 3 miles (unnecessary wear and tear on the mechanism). Every time the spoiler goes down you hear it.
