Default OIL, yet again!

http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...newproductpage

So the price for the Porsche 20-50 is about 5 bucks more per quart ( although the porsche one is a bit more than a quart) than the Mobil 1 20-50W, the Brad Penn etc.
So for 50 bucks more per oil change do you go OEM yes or no?

Do I? No.

Do you? That's the question. $5 more per quart is just for the label on the box.

I'd buy one just for the cool can!

I bought my Mobil1 15W50 for $8.50 a liter so it would be hard for me to justify going with the OEM stuff.

Valvoline VR1 20/50 is $3.99/qt on sale. I stick there or BradPenn. I will buy a Porsche one for the bottle LOL.

I admit I'll buy one can, use it as supplemental oil and then fill it with m1 v-twin after that.

Who is getting the new sticker? It will make the engine last at least extra 50k miles.

I read about this new oil a while back and was curious how much they'd charge for it... Now I know.

I'd be interested in sending a virgin sample to Blackstone for an analysis. That will tell us how good it really is. I suspect it's quite good, but is it worth the premium?

I believe 10w60 is for 993 at 15.95 per qt. 20w50 is for older 911 up to 1977.

M1 15w50 is 5 per qt. so 100 buck per oil change...nah thanks. Rich's car went 310k+ miles without it.

Yes, I'd be curious to see a virgin sample Blackstone report to see what's in this stuff, and also compare it to the better oils already on the market.

For that kind of coin it had better say right on the label: "Makes bearings and rings like new again!"
