Fister stage 2 send out to Fister, Carreras S spoiler insert you are better off buying new as the disassemble and prep will be more in labor then the price differential used vs new.

Wow. I'm loving the idea of another NB 993 Speedster. Your schedule sure doesn't leave much time for problems.

Split grill is available at Carnewal

Keep trying to call FD, they are super busy but they will eventually get back to you.

These are the seats i have chosen for the Speedster Project: RECARO A8 Seats:

I'm having the seat backs painted in White, Center Section in Perforated Black Leather, Sides in Black Leather and the whole seat accented with White Piping.

Still Debating: Do i have a section on the seat embroidered with "speedster" logo?

I ordered these "Carbon Fiber" Heated seat elements:

Default Threshold Plates

I ordered a set of blank brushed aluminum threshold plates from Rennline. Anyone know who i can send them to to have "speedster" logo polished into the plate.

And while we are on the topic, I am trying to avoid overdoing the "speedster" logo

So far i plan to put the logo everywhere it appears on a Turbo S and a Carrera S:

(1) Trunk matt carpet pocket
(2) Tachometer Gauge - ordered already
(3) Threshold Plates
(4) Floor Matts - ordered already
(5) Rear Parcel Shelf Carpet
(6) Rear trunk badge - ordered already
(7) Front Seats

Is this too much?

AFAIK, you can't 'polish' it in. Do you want to etch it, like "Speedline for Porsche" was etched into certain Speedline wheels? Any re-polishing may wear said etching down.

So when are all the 993 Speedsters going to get together?

I want to do something.... I'm actually thinking about making a negative foil, putting it over the plate and going at it.... but that, i am sure, is doomed for failure.

Another idea would be to put chrome foiled speedster lettering on the plate and hit the whole thing with clear coat, but i am sure that won't work well either.

Any other ideas?

"Going at it." As in painting with the font masked?

Maybe flat vs. gloss paint of the same color, like first gen Cayman "Porsche Design Edition"?

i mean, polishing the hell out of the logo.... so the brushed part would be protected by the negative film....and i would scratch/polish the logo into the threshold plate.... only problem... one slip up and its all over!

Have the Speedster logo negative cut from vinyl. Center it on the Rennline piece and bead blast the Speedster logo. Super easy.
