Thanks all. Let me tell you -- it was an enormous amount of work. Forums like Rennlist warp your perception of how much is involved in car projects. It all looks so tidy and simple in the pictures. But since I was working at a friend's shop, I needed to get my car in and out as quickly as possible. I haven't had a chance to really get on it yet. Break-in miles. But I can tell already it's pretty quick. Pictures to come...

beautiful work noah, this is exactly what i'm planning in the future when the inevitable occurs. if i recall correctly, the main challenge with the 9m heads has been the mapping? i assume you are still using the stock ECU? or if not, who did you use for the remap?

Some years ago I obtained a '97 .376 ECU (the kind that can be flashed). When it came time to do this build, I sent it to 9M. They had just finished a 3.8 build (detailed on this site) on a blue C2 that originally was a U.S. car. I was building my engine to almost the exact same spec, so they flashed that car's map to my ECU. Works perfectly. At some point I'll have my car fine-tuned, but no rush, as it already runs beautifully.

Had some seat time in the car today -- it is very strong, and I'm still doing break-in miles and not pushing too hard.

Noah, did the re-flash and heads allow for SAI? I'm curious if this system would pass 96 obdII emissions in the strict states. Also curious if your logging fault codes due to the value adjustments?

You can get 9M heads with SAI ports if you need them, yes. And changing to mechanical rockers does not cause fault codes -- why would it?
