As someone who posted a couple of snarky things on this thread, let me offer my deepest apologies if I have offended anyone.

Ha, just kidding! C'mon, lighten up everyone. This is the internet, not a sewing circle. When you post pictures of your frankenstein project on a car forum, people are going to make snarky comments. That's just how this works (and should work). Obviously, a guy is free to make whatever ludicrous mods he wishes to his car -- and the rest of us are free to make snarky comments about those mods, because if you're a healthy, well-adjusted person, internet forums are not your real life and thus what people say in them is not particularly significant to your emotional well-being.

Car was and is a bit of a disaster.. looked cool but didnt work as well as it looked. Im currently going thru a fairly extensive rebuild.. the ducktail is at risk if my engine mods go too far... watching Juha G is not good for my wallet. With smoothed arches i think u would have to go steel to stop the join from flexing and cracking the paint. At that point i think it seems to be a fairly custom job with expenses to match.. Also i need to measure but its not that much wider than my C4S or C2S so a regular WB 993 will get u most of the way there.

Sorry to hear, man. Yeah, a WB 993 is wide but not wide enough. It's all relative. The WB is not much wider than the NB (+44mm), but it still is noticeable. BTW, you have an awesome collection of cars based on your sig. Well done. Good luck on the rebuild.

While I think rwb 993s turn out a bit cartoonish, I really like his work on 964s with smooth fenders. Looking forward to this thread.

I have a 993TT.

In Australia.

There were approx. 300 imported. In total.

I cut mine up to build my car.

I don't give a $%*@ what anybody else thinks. I like it. I built it for me.

Look forward to the thread - I just love 911's in general. Why all the hate?

You have a tasteful custom 993. Upgrading your body to what the engineers at the factory did for the RSR and GT2 is a great way to modify a 993.

IMO giving a german car a Japanese tuner theme is the wrong direction.

To the OP, good for you not everyone has to be a purist. Look forward to following the build.

Looks like your located in the North West? I know a bunch of us up here would love to see the final complete product, we currently only have one 993 RWB in Vancouver.

I'll also add the 964 and earlier model RWBs look just fantastic. Had a chance to visit RWB Thailand in November, very nice work!

I personally love them!

BTW, the RWB guys in Japan track their cars... may not be the fastest, but they have fun with them.

RWB builds aren't for everyone. I appreciate them for what they are, I like them and I love bone stalk 993s as well. What ever floats your boat, it's your money and car.
