Why am I posting on this topic? Surely not because I hate these RWB cars, I don't.
I kinda like the look...it's just that I know how the crisp handling and performance of the 911 was destroyed to have those looks, and at the same time I see people posting how it must be a blast to drive such a car. I can guarantee (even without ever driving and basing solely on what modifications are done to these cars), the ride is everything but a blast.
I'd just hate to see someone doing this conversion without doing their due diligence first, thinking the cool looks will make the car drive and perform better...just to realize they have just made the car a nightmare to drive.

So, in short; nothing wrong with this kind of modifications in my opinion, as long as the owner understands what he is getting; just cool looks and severed ride.
Not hate, just an opinion.

I should know because I have "destroyed" my 993... but I've done it knowingly.

I posted it was a blast to drive. That said, I agree. It's a blast in the sense of cars and coffee blast. Be fun to cruise with it and have the pictures taken. Other than that, I'm not so sure I would want to drive it up Palomar Mountain here in San Diego. Still, I see it as a fun car to own.

I looked up the word "idlers". This is close, especially the first definition: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/idler

In other words, these cars will certainly fulfill their destiny. Where would they ever be used, other than garage art?

Great use for this car! Driving between booths at a trade show.

Also, where are Pandora Two, Three and Four?

It hurts me to see these wonderful classic 911's cut up. Why not just cut up a 996? Nobody would shed a tear.
