Probably. The percentage of RWB cars actually driven competently or even half-way fast on the aforementioned track is probably near zero.

From Pelican:

The RWB 911 and shop owner Nakai's Personal car with some build specs.
2100lbs, 360HP, Japanese Street Legal, PMO Carbed, Promodet engine, RWB Coilovers, Brakes, and Wheels.

CAR FEATURE>>RWB NAKAI PORSCHE 930 - Speedhunters

To give you an idea of how fast it is. This car runs in the mid 58's at Tsukuba circuit. The current track record for an NA car is in the 57's. The current production car record AFIK is that of a Radical SR4 1.2 at 1.00. Times around that circuit are 997 GT2 1:03, 1:04 for an R34 skyline, 1:01 for an R35 GTR, e92 M3 1:05.

As you can see by the times his car is very fast. All of the cars were tested by Best Motoring with profesional drivers on like tires. His car isn't the fastest of the RWB cars and many of them run sub 1 minute at Tsukuba.

Build quality of a street car. I know this is long but this will give you an idea of one of two near identical builds Nakai has done on two cars that are Daily driven in Japan. (Ignore ****ty techno music in a couple of videos)

I am sure that you can cut enough metal and put a big enough engine in any given car, including a clapped out Civic, to run that fast. So far it hasn't been shown that RWB "designer"/builder has any understanding in building cars for speed or any interest in doing so.

The cars seem to be fast in spite of his involvement in body molestation, err, modification. Wake us up when that changes, please.

A shame to cut up that beautiful coupe. If it was tiptronic, it wouldn't be missed.

I Really don't understand all the hate. We get it, you don't think these cars see track time, and even when they do, you're not impressed. Move on

It's not really hate. It's something akin being stung by a jellyfish and wondering why something that elaborate and useless/brainless was created in the first place.

This is, fairly obviously, a riced-out Civic for people who outgrew Civics financially and age-wise.

Great vid thanks. Must be a blast to drive!

I don't think I could watch my 993 fenders being cut like that. I cringed.

Definitely not hate.... At least on my part. All i'm saying is these cars are all show no go....ain't nothing wrong with that!

Some write "must be a blast to drive".... What would make the drive a blast? The cut fenders? The ****ed up suspension geometry? The added drag (car will be a slow slow slow pig above 80mph)?

Still not hating ... Just bringing up facts that most people fail to realise; these cars hacked up Porsches that look quite cool (I kinda like the look)

Riddle me this; If the 911 content of the body goes below 10% is it still a 911?

+1

I mean it's his car, his $ and his personal way of enjoying and expressing it. Let it be and skip the thread if it's not your cup of tea.

Last thing you need to read is stupid, pointless remarks like why something brainless and useless was created, or the OP has out grown his riced out Civic.

At least it gives us something different to see on the forum. I mean look at another recent thread, discussing Miata's on a 993 forum. Most aren't interested so don't they don't comment, it's that simple.

Not sure about Canada, but the States still have these outdated laws regarding freedom of expression. On both sides of the argument.

Juha has put things very concisely, actually.

Fair enough with Juha comments, he's not hating and bluntly insulting the OP's ride. We can all see they are show and no go. I mean that's pretty obvious, it's not a detailed engine rebuild and it's not a bragging thread about his lap times at Nurburgring.

Just so we are clear, far up north here in Canada there is freedom of expression too. You just won't find the Canadians I know, or myself walking down the streets of say Compton or Crenshaw LA and insulting some guy's car because I have the freedom to express myself by law.

Bottom line, plenty of big shots behind a keyboard

Well, with 6K plus posts in 10.5 years o the Rennlist and plenty of pictures of both my 993 and non-993s posted, I'm sure you can find something to insult about my cars, aesthetic choices or myself if you'd chose to. Heck, I can five a few = non-OEM 18" wheels yellow sticthed steering wheel and shift boot, 996 seats, etc.

But... none of it would make this RWB "design" any less funny and the stickers any less hilarious. Oh, btw, this is not "insulting some guys's car". It's laughing of this whole concepts. The same way I find "hella-flush" "stance" crowd laughable with cars scraping ground, cartoon-inspired cambers and 165 tires stretched over 9" wheels. Wait, this car just made "Stance" magazine. The circle is complete. Take the useful car and make it severely less useful.

Again, though, if the "guy" is interested in this exercise in looking different from the crowd, he should certainly expect polar dislike as well as adulation for his choices. In you opinion he should only hear latter, not former?
