I'm in for any Saturday in December. It will be great to meet other DFW 993 owners and hear the Fister comparison.

Remaining Sats in Nov are not good. If those work for most, then go ahead w/o me :crying:. Otherwise, all Sats in Dec are fine.

Anywhere in DFW will do, if next to a Starbucks even better. Would prefer early in morning starting anytime between 7-9am.

Looking forward to meeting some fellow DFW 993-ers.

Wow, lots of dfw 993s surfacing! Love it!

While I'm not necessarily invited, I'd suggest RAC also if only because the party/Fister demonstration can be brought indoors in case of bad weather.

Howdy y'all, so it's a Texas sized meet :) Count me in, haven't been to the RAC in years, who's gonna ask RAC?. Zimms has a big lot as well, I can ask there

cajunboy 11-13-2013 02:08 PM

I'm in grand prairie. Nov 30 I'm free

Zim's works for me too. They wrench on my car.

A Sat morning in Dec is going to be best.

KLSpeed27 11-13-2013 02:50 PM

Zim's on a Saturday morning works for me, just name a time and date...

Why on earth would you think invitations are required?

I'd love to see all DFW 993-ers show up.

Zims does my car too. Either RAC or Zims will work anyway...

JB 911 11-13-2013 05:26 PM

^ I read that as a ref to the monthly invitation at RAC thingy...

That's because Brian doesn't have Fisters installed. Actually he doesn't have any mufflers installed on his turbo.

Wow. Now we really have something going here. Great to see that a request for a Fister exhaust 'comparison' has turned into a local 993 gathering. I've only been in the Dallas area for about 4 years and still haven't gotten into the car culture here as much as I was in MD. Will be nice to meet some 993 owners in the area.

Now that we're beyond a couple of cars meeting in a Starbucks parking lot one morning, why don't I ask RAC if we can work something out to use their front lot at their new location. I've been dealing with Hans and Spencer a lot lately and I'm sure they'd be interested in having a 993 gathering at their facility - especially if they don't have to do anything in particular to entertain us. If it seems to be a central location for many, I don't see why we can't work something out with them.

Recent posts seem to indicate an early December meet time is best for most. Should we consider Dec. 7th and see if RAC is willing to accommodate us? I'll make the call, if that works for most. If we have continued interest, I can see this being an occasional event.

We do have to make sure some Fister II and III equipped cars make it to this event - it was the initial concept, after all.

i wanted to amend the thread title to include '- 993 gathering in North Dallas'. it doesn't appear changing a thread title is possible once initiated - anyone know if there is a way?

rsaBB, dec 7 at Ruf is as good a date as any. All of us would appreciate it if you can contact RAC to finalize. Thanks

Brian also offered. He knows them pretty well since he keeps his CGT there.
