you can choose the wheel width...8" is fine, 8 1/2" gains you essentially another 6mm(1/4") outboard. Again, NB and WB have the exact same front fenders. Lots of folks running 8 1/2" et40-41 fronts without issue...P-Daddy above included. If unsure, go conservative with 8" width, and et 45. That is exactly what I'm running up front now, and there is plenty of room to spare.

regarding custom finish, they do standard silver...like most other Speedlines you see, but also a dark metallic grey, and black.

The picture in your avatar, looks to me like the rear wheels-Cup 1's, are projecting out nicely. Do you have spacers in the rear already? The et and width should be on either side of the valve stem if those wheels are oem. Keep in mind the metric to standard conversions...1"=25.4mm, 1/4"=6mm approx.

So, staying with your thought that most run 5mm spacers all the way around, is ET47/ET60 relatively conservative with 8's and 10's? If I do proceed, then I still may order a factory ET52/ET65 setup.

the beauty of a custom wheelset is that you can order whatever you want...

Absolutely no need to go oem offsets, and then just add spacers after. That however is another of the "rub's" here, just too damn many choices for those of us not very knowledgeable regarding wheel width/et...I know a HELL of a lot more than I did a month ago though.

Hope all this width and ET talk isn't confusing you. ET 47 on an 8" rim is not the same as an 8.5" rim.

Going with the 8.5 front vs 8 gives you a little more of that "deep dish".

Fred...I was just putting an email response to you, but thought I'd reply here. Interesting that for a WB 993, Tramont wants to build an 8 1/2" wide et 41 front, but for a NB a 8 1/2" wide et 52. All 993's have most of the same front bits and pieces-besides brakes...why such a big difference?

I went 8 1/2" et45 up front, compared to the 8" et 50 with 5mm spacers I'm currently running. The change nets me an additional 6mm of "poke" toward the fender without utilizing a spacer.

52/65 is stock on some oem wheelsets, but not others. What wheels are you running now, any spacers involved? What tire sizes do you plan on running also?

It can all get pretty confusing.

been tracking exchange rate's over the last 6 weeks...euro v US dollar. I'm thinking this whole government default/shutdown business isn't helping the value of our currency one single bit. Every 1% that the euro gains...costs another $40 for the cost of the wheelset. What once was $2790...is now $2828.

Credit transfer to Tramont for the wheels tomorrow, should be out of production in 3 weeks...then 3 days in shipping. Shooting for early November...actual production details to follow.

Also, possibly two other rennlisters jumping on, could be a total of 6 sets.

IMHO, this is a wonderful opportunity & another example of MagDaddy leading good things for the 993 community

However, I'll take it as divine financial provenance that I just now noticed this thread, after the deadline for buying

Unfortunately because we did not supply the wheels I have no record of the offsets or sizes, however when the car comes back in I would be happy to measure them and report back.
If the following's NOT relevant ^^ please forgive. Otherwise, from the "9m93RS Narrowbody Clubsport" thread...

Sizes are 10x18 ET55 rear and 8.5x18 ET50 front and they are a genuine through bolt split rim.

I think it's a great deal. If I had a car I'd be in for sure. Thanks to Joe and Rudy for putting this together and giving others a chance to participate!

email from Tramont today, wheels will be ready for shipping next week. New thread with pics to follow. Don't get too excited...it'll just be the wheels. Still gotta get the center caps, get em color matched...and decide on rubber. Might try something a little more special than the Hankook's I usually run.

I just bought a set of 3000 thread count egyptian cotton sheets, and a large comfy goose down pillow...Not for the wheels, for me to be comfortable sleeping in the back shed once my wife see's these new wheels.
