I see my wheels in those pictures Nick!

BTW, I ordered the RH 3.6 Turbo wheels that I had on my old C4S directly from Germany. They came in 2 boxes. DHL shipped them in about a week and it cost in the $260 range. Maybe I got a deal, maybe I didn't, but they were not a pallet and the boxes were in fine shape when they arrived in New York.

I shipped a little over a Million dollars worth of goods via UPS last year. Palletized goods almost always arrived intact. Can't say the same for boxed goods. They use two separate routings/systems dependant on how the goods are packaged.

Yeah, but the issue at hand is not debating the best way to ship but rather what the appropriate solution to this mess. Because they were shipped on a pallet, it caused a cascade of issues that FedEx has since not been able to rectify. The **** hit the fan when FedEx refused to accept boxes and demanded a pallet. At that point Tramont should have checked with John to make sure he would be OK with the increased cost of this mode, but instead they forged ahead without thinking and thus caused a big mess. Ultimately, it seems they should be accountable and just accept return of the shipment, pay the delta in shipping costs and press the reset button and start all over in order to get the wheels to their final destination as originally arranged.

rennlister P-track is a Tramont rep for his business in Holland. Tramont quoted us almost 30% below 2013 advertised prices, and P-Track had to charge additional VAT...so we went with Tramont. That being said, P-Track estimated shipping cost to the US was $280 per wheelset.

Fed Ex told me the cost for the pallet would be $2300, two box's were les than $500. Actual wheels on the pallet cost less than $3000...easy choice with proper insured value. PM sent

Techman1
I emailed Suzette with the tracking numbers, and will follow with a phone call tomorrow.

Thanks to Geolab, and Techman1...after feeling absolutely helpless for over two weeks regarding this shipment, I feel something in my favor has finally surfaced.

FedEx is an odd company. To put it mildly. What surprises me, though, is how they managed to get my two Boxster/996 Sports seats from UK to Boston for what appears to be 147 British pounds. Especially given the fact that they got from UK to Memphis literally overnight. And another week from Memphis to Boston because FedEx is full of morons and liars, but that's another story. No pallets, just packaged in cardboard. And they each weigh about as much as a pair of wheels.

Tough situation. I hope that manufacturer would own up to what appears to be french law and that they must take the product back and refund the payment in full. Let them deal with FedEx.

PS. Rudy's not having any luck with wheels from Europe.

PPS. George, two of those 3 goals today were from offside. I've watched it. And watched replays.

Morning Mike, half past seven here and all the early birds are talking football in the offices already.
Unfortunately, I do not watch soccer since 20 years. The players have so much cash in the pockets, they can not run these days, and it's all....
I am waiting for 10 o'clock to call Tramont . Take care

Update, talked to US corporate Fed ex this morning. Right out of the gate they say, they will email corporate in France and instruct them to contact Tramont to accept the wheels back. Also, all shipping charges for this shipping fiasco will be credited back to the shipping account. Once Tramont repack's the wheels, we get a new shipping quote. Ideally we get more favorable pricing next time around, or we find a new shipper.
