Default Gorilla glue

I just checked on the Gorilla glue job on my door sill.
It expanded and leaked out all around the sill.
Need help please.

That stuff does expand, I'm not sure why you would use it on a car, or why you would use that much?

What help is it that you are looking for? Sounds like you will need to trim/clean. Try a scraper for the big stuff and acetone of Googone to remove residue.

Wow - you've used a PU based glue especially designed for wood applications - not for P-Cars. Except you try to fix the door cards or the wooden floor board around the pedals. Removal of dried glue will be tough if not impossible pending on where you used it...

And yes, it will expand around 7 times it's original volume. Even faster if you add water but really, that's

I used the glue to glue down a door sill that came off.
I never used this glue and it is now where the bottom of the door is on the inside.
Thank you Ed and Holytin.

Curious...this is obviously not what should be used.

What is suppose to be used to hold the metal door sills in place?

I'd use a silicone or otner adhesive, that would release, if needed. It's not like there is any strain on them.

Gorilla glue is still semi porous after acute drying, so you can try gratuitous amounts of water, maybe with a little dish soap and try to gently get rid of the large amounts of it. If it fully set, then it probably will pull up on the clear coat. A lot of adhesives say they are safe on XX, but most good adhesives are not good at being removed, and items that are easy to remove are not good adhesives. Good luck.

Perhaps a review of the "Gorilla Glue" website might give some tips for removal.

Also, would try warm the offending 'overflow' with a hair blow dryer on high (get metal warm to the touch-not hot) in stages and use a wooden cuticle stick or sharpened tooth picks to attach the hopefully softened residue.

Good Luck

I have found E6000 (industrial version of GOOP) works great for this application. It stays flexible and can be removed pretty easy. The E6800 version is UV-Resistant.

Use 3M Very High Bond double sided foam tape!!!!
May have to use several layers to get the 'right' fill of the gap.
