Cam, great work as usually! Are you going for color change?

We use to look at other colors but basically I find Iris Blue a very masculine color, so I decided not to change to a Riviera Blue or Gulf etc. Polar silver is very common for these conversions already. I haven't find any IB conversions so decided to leave the factory color. But changing the twin tone scheme inside to a complete black interior.

I've decided not to go for a fullcage as the car will be driven both on street and track. I'm looking into some Heigo and DAS option for a rollbar. And I didn't want to waste the roof but only cover it up and removed the mechanism, otherwise that will be too messy for the dynamics of the car.

Can you please tell me how much weight did you take off from the sunroof? i.e. how much did the sunroof mechanics weigh?

Also, what is "titanium sticky"?

Hey Juha, the sticky stuff mentioned is Terokal-9225 50 ml by Teroson, about 8 bottles gone to fill up the roof after welding. I didn't weigh but my guess for the mechanism is about 10-14 pounds appx.

Juha, I see your bodywork and raise you with my own
The interior should be done in a few days then off to a complete respray...

Hahah!! Race is on on my friend!

I don't envy the guy who is taking that glue out of the interior...

Do you think the rear heated glass should go and replaced with a non-heated? I've seen this GT2 by a respectable board member and his car has (I think) an optional heated glass. I've got a quote from a glass manufacturer. but I'm wondering if the new glass will have the same factory tint and perhaps it will start bubbling up in the middle (due to movement and sun light) due to quality issues?

And ordered some more parts from Gert, RS OEM Door Parts, GT2 shifter, Rennsport Package Box, P93/P96 Cup Steering Wheel, Factory 993 GT2 Indoor Car Cover etc. Just wondering if Sparco Rev Plus seats would be right for this conversion...

Well Juha you got it! Joking aside, it only took a total of 6 hours to clean the interior completely. The funny thing with the Recaro PP seats and Heigo's is their production date (Germany) is around week 33-36, so I've found some brand new Sparco seats, will have them reupholstered and found a guy to do a custom rollbar. Do you think Recaro charges double for PP seats (comparing to Sparco Rev Plus) because they can?

Wise man.
Paint your seat backs and other "stuff" at the same time?

Thanks for the compliments! At first, that's what I was going for, but last night I purchased a pair of Sparco Rev Plus buckets, they will be reupholstered to complete black cloth with a little Porsche patch on top (eBay), the rear covers will stay black, just because I'm going to drive the car stripped out, no carpets, sound deadening etc. And the whole interior will be repainted to body color. Factory interior paint is a little off compared to the body color. Time will show if I'll need full carpets again or not

At last, the interior is done before scraping and paint work...
