LOL! The goal is to send something to Colin without subtraction. Calls for delicate negotiations with the wifey.

Shell is in primer, at last. The problem with doing these in-house jobs is that client's work always takes priority, so apologies should things not be progressing at our usual hectic pace, you can blame our customers if it makes you feel better.

Still thinking about the colour whilst secretly hoping that a customer comes along with his own colour preference before we have to make the decision.....

Luv those naked body shots.
Forrest green would get my vote, although it might take more than yellow callipers to pacify Mark. Perhaps a splash of yellow incorporated into a black interior to avoid being labelled really boring.

Forest, Amazon and Jungle are some greens that we are considering.

A Maritime Speedster is the perfect combination of old school; timeless yet modern. You need a strong colour to give it wow and to give the seat backs that cool colour coded look. Maybe as an owner I'm biased...Flat colours suit Speedsters. Gloss black would also look good with the choco interior but I think later looking 991 interior style updates spoil that timeless 993 appeal - too modern. It looks cool now - but in a few years? Nothing wrong with triple black, super saleable superb looking and I'm confident 9M's clients don't have to worry too much about keeping their cars clean themselves

If Maritime is too loud there is Albert Blue. Hellgelb yellow is what Porsche's 993 Speedster press car would have been if they had one and it is very 993

Silver highlights good lines, is dull but does make a red interior glow

If you're going down the green route the dark green colour they did for the Porsche Club Germany 997 anniversary cars is superb.

All depends whether the owner is looking for 'his' bespoke look that's him or something that looks correct for the year. If it isn't correct for a 993 from the 1990's there's a good chance it'll look wrong...but hey it's his car and therefore his call

riviera - maritim - ferrari yellow - signal green - pullmann brown (UPS colour) - just some ideas from my site... if I ever start a project again, I would go for yellow (maybee - yellowbird Ruf yellow...)

I am looking forward seeing the project develop, greetz Tim

Beautiful tub...cries out for a great color. I like your direction of subtler colors.

Forest is amazing and has long been a personal favorite. Also: Oak Green Metallic, Irish Green, and Granite Green Metallic (1980s, and very rare). 993 Chestnut leather, or some other dark brown? There were a few Forest Green 1989 911 Speedsters, some with brown tops, and they are simply stunning. Dark Blue or Dark Sea Blue (Cayenne) could be interesting, and Aubergine/black might also be pretty amazing...or maybe even Vesuvio Metallic with the gray mirrors and door handles? A very "993" factory setup, yet rare.

Have to say JP's 9m93 Speedster blew me away with its subtlety and the quality of its surfaces and finishes inside and out. Can't wait to see what you do here.

Moss green metallic is very nice, too. Might go well with the chocolate leather.

I can't imagine anyone ever wanting a dark green Speedster. You guys do want to sell this right? The only green I would ever want is British racing green and only on an E Type.

Well, I'm happy to say that we're not painting it green. Or blue. Or grey.....

Here are the photos of the shell in the booth today, preparing it to paint the underside:
