Did the mod yesterday. Takes about 10 minutes! I noticed a difference on the first 30 MPH corner, and really noticed it on a 60MPH cloverleaf. AS the car takes a set on turn in, a little steering correction used to be required as the tie rod rubber compressed. No more. Now I turn in and the car stays exactly where I put it. It feels really precise. Love it. I noticed no increase in NVH, and the car isn't twitchy at all. In fact, the on-center feel is the same as before...
Is this a "must have" mod? No. Is this a good, nice to have mod? Absolutely!
It makes me wonder what the guys in Stuttgart were trying to dial out of the car to design this tie rod system.

So, I'm sending a PM to ikorum, and I think the list looks like this now:

lcorkum
initial
simpsoap
nine9six
nrubenstein
I'll mail it Monday!

I'm finished with the tool and will PM the two others that were on the list after me and will ship it out hopefully by Thursday. Pretty easy mod to do, just take your time. Finished the whole job in about 30 mins.

Next on the list:
nine9six
nrubenstein

Huh? I checked my PM's and never received anything from you.

Have I now been bumped off the list?

Guys,

I have a version of Chaoscreature's tool on my workbench. Who's next? I can send it out with a bag of pins and some bits. (Not sure which bits are good or not - can be easily purchased locally if these are too dull.)

I can be dropped from the list since garth helped me do mine when he got his tool back. I agree with everyone who has had it done, it is so presise now and it was 98% before. Just wanted to remove my name on the list to help others out.
Thanks
Lloyd

Tell you what. I'll be around this weekend if anyone wants to come by and pin. You can use my lift and then mail it off to the next guy.

I've lost track of the latest list so maybe someone can help update that for me.
