Twin Grills
I love the twin grill because it harkens back the day of the Twin Grills in 356 Carerras. I especially like that they were painted the color of the car.
Were the 993 single grills ever painted by the factory?

The body colored "split engine griil " was an asthetic exclusive to the model year '97 & '98 993 C2S. A normally aspirated 3.6l 2wd turbo bodied coupe.
The arctic silver 993 pictured to the left is my C2S and while born with its model's distinctive split grill, the grill was changed for the single black version, for my eye more triditional. - Just couldn't get comfortable with the split grill look at the time. Starting with the 996, the body colored engine grill has become the norm. But hey,,, when the engine block is water cooled who needs a true engine compartment grill.
Do you suppose anyone has chromed a 993 engine grill? Now you're talking.
