Hi, interested if anyone is using a iPhone App to interface with a bluetooth OBDII.
Which App? Which OBDII? Thoughts and use?

I bought the GoPoint BT1 bluetooth OBDII reader and I pair it with their free iPhone app. No issues. I leave the 'dongle' installed in my OBDII port 24x7. Kinda fun to monitor the oil temp from start-up through steady state (usually 260F with outside temp at or below 30F).

GoPoint BT1

DashCommand

Harry's Lap Timer Pro

Optrix iPhone mount

How I used it last weekend....
The BT1 is AWESOME! DashCommand is worth every penny, it has a ton of info, will clear CEL's and also does datalogging. If you change a part on the car, you can see if your MAF is reading higher airflow, the IAT is higher/lower, spark advance, etc.. Very useful!!!
Harry's Lap Timer, well, you can see how cool that is! I just purchased a add on GPS antenna that is 5x faster then the iPhone GPS, so there will be even better tracking next time!!

The generic OBD scanners/software can normally only connect to the engine management, and not the other OBD-enabled units in the Porsche 964/993.
As far as I know, there's only a handful of systems that can do all the units in our cars. (Motronic, ABS, air bag, alarm and climate control)
*The Bosch Porsche "hammer" (KTS 301)or later Bosch Porsche tools as PST2, KTS500 or PIWIS
*Freeware Rennlist Scantool Windows software (serial port adapter, as my T-OBD)
*Durametric Windows software with a proper serial cable
*928-diag/PDT999 from jenniskens
Cheers,
Tore
