Default In Search Of Snow

Into March, and this is the first I've been motivated to get the board up on the roof and mount the snow tires. Not hoping for much, but I've got a couple of passes that certainly won't be used after getting sun on the brain down in Phoenix a week from now.

Oh, and this will be the last hurrah for this windshield. I put off replacing it, figuring it would get hammered LAST winter.

Go for it, looks like the snow plow up front is ready for some action!

I'm going tomorrow. But I'll throw the board in the back of the VW. I'm ready for spring. Snow that fell in Dec is just now melting off the lawn.

I actually had fun with both the Subaru and Passat that were the rentals in Denver two weeks ago. Seemed like a pretty small storm to me, but you wouldn't know it by the TV news.........

Sure, I could take the F350, but since I'm stuck driving that at least four days a week I have to make use of this car when I can. Besides, and like I don't have any other projects that I don't have time for, this car may be coming pretty far apart this summer.

It's March, and the best of the ski season has begun. This was taken last May, with daughter Bri:

Don't use a super ski shuttle like Ken's 4S, but she'll still go with me in the Subie.

Little fell today while I was up on the hill. What I came back to. Zero on the road, either this AM or into South Shore this afternoon. But the Caltrans sign in town said there's a chain control on Hwy 50!

The chain control is up for snow that might be on the road in 2016.

Then again, what I experienced in Denver two weeks ago left me with zero faith that there are any longer signs of intelligent life once you get behind the wheel.
