Default Quick Question - RS Pulley Hub

When installing the RS Hub into the fan do bolts go clear through the fan to the other side without using the fans threads.

Or do the bolts in the RS hub screw into the fan's threads just like the original bolts?

I'm pretty sure that you'd need to bolt the pulley to the fan using the threads.

In the pictures I've seen and the DIY's it appears the hub is press-fit into the fan with the hubs bolts already attached. Hence my confusion..

Also, do you use the old pulley or do you need to buy one for this application?

I dont think the rs hub screws in from the front. You have to pull the fan out

If you look closely at this picture it appears the hub does not use the fan's threads but I could be wrong. My fan has one hole with messed up threads which is why I'm asking. I have the engine out of the car at the moment (rebuild) so this would be easy to do.

I'd rather buy a RS Hub than a new fan.

that's a pretty good one mit pics.
put the hub in the freezer for an hour, fan in the oven at 150 for 20 minutes and the hub drops right into the fan without any issues. the hub bolts go clear through the fan and pulley and shims. the fan hub assembly then slides onto the alternator shaft, I used some anti seize but that could have been a wasted effort. you still use the big nut on the end of the alternator shaft to hold the fan/hub in place.
reuse the pulley and shims, but you can also buy a shiny new outer pulley so make it look nice.

Thanks. That's exactly what I needed to know.
