Yep....That was happening to a few of mine, so I took them all off and apart last year to completely clean and repait. It was actually kind of a fun project.

Looks a lot like mine. How hard is it to pull these and powder coat them? I have seen the caliper paint and the decals on eBay, but thought powdered would be the way to go. The next decision would be color.

Try cleaning them up and then clear coat. If that doesn't work wou can reprint. It is amazing what new clear coat will do.

+1 to this. I did mine over the winter last year. Bought all the rebuild kits from Sunset and had the calipers powder coated by a local place. I think it turned out great and was pretty easy - hardest part is getting the old pistons out.

Good threads posted. I think Plan A would be the clear approach for me, then spray paint. I don't see how I can salvage my PORSCHE decals though. Maybe I need to look at it closer. Are the Ebay one's junk?

Search for "caliper decal" "caliper lettering", etc since there's been success and failure with the eBay route (various vendors)....different sizes and "off" font were some of the issues I recall.

LOL. The really funny thing is these are for my wife's car, she helped and let me bake the clear in the oven!
I bought new decals from Andreas who had a sign shop make them - I think they are vinyl but I am not 100%.

Best part about redoing the calipers: last week we had a Thanksgiving lunch for staff and a girl from our tax dept came up to me and goes, "is that your black sports car that is always parked in the corner?" Me: "yep, but it wont be much longer with winter upon us." Her: "I love your red calipers" Me: <jaw drops>
