The ultimate challenge: 3 car garage-> 2 car garage
Well, we sold our house and bought one fairly close to the beach. 3000 sq ft/3 car to 1250 sq ft/2 car. Yikes. The good news is that the house has a beautiful yard with multiple patios, outdoor dining room, gated parking for 3rd car, etc. BUT I have to squeeze all my goodies in the garage into 2/3 the space. We're going over today to measure everything, so I can start laying out the garage. Wish me luck!
Kudos to Javier ("niche" on RL), our realtor extraordinaire!

If you decide to use dollies, I recommend this particular brand as well.

Welcome to my world. It sucks. No room for a lift either. So, one car sits outside to deal with tree sap, acorns, bird poop, hail, and whatever else TX weather throws at it. That is the primary reason that I quit buying new daily drivers and simply drive and old SUV.
The pcar stays tucked inside!
Good luck! Living on the beach will be a good compromise.

I'm set on the lift-my Bendpak is making the move, and I'm good with my truck being outside-there's actually a gated "RV parking area" that has shade. The thing that scares me is having three car garage worth of cabinets, toolbox, welder, workbench, compressor, refrigerator, drill press, shelving, etc for the last 13 years, and now going to 2 car area.
I'm probably going to go semi-crazy with a bettery of Gladiator wall cabinets on one wall for storage, and see if the front and other side of garage can handle my other stuff. I've got overhead too, I'll be able to develop.

Ahh, but I'm looking at 70's Summer, 60's Winter, no hail or snow threats. A little dew from the marine layer, and the odd bits of rain.
I spent 8 years in DFW and know about the hail!

at least you have the option for a lift.... I have a 7' ceiling in our garage and cant even think about stacking cars. So any new toys have to go outside....
